The people rejoiced at the willing response of their leaders, for they had given freely and wholeheartedly to the Lord. David the king also rejoiced greatly.

The people were happy when they saw what their leaders had been willing to give. The leaders had given freely. With their whole heart they had given everything to the Lord. King David was filled with joy.

Let each man give according as he has determined in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion. for God loves a cheerful giver.And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that you, always having all sufficiency in everything, may abound to every good work.

I know also, my God, that you try the heart, and have pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things. Now I have seen with joy your people, who are present here, offer willingly to you.

But I rejoice in the Lord greatly, that now at length you have revived your thought for me; in which you did indeed take thought, but you lacked opportunity.

I have spoken these things to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be made full.

But when Timothy came just now to us from you, and brought us glad news of your faith and love, and that you have good memories of us always, longing to see us, even as we also long to see you,for this cause, brothers, we were comforted over you in all our distress and affliction through your faith.For now we live, if you stand fast in the Lord.For what thanksgiving can we render again to God for you, for all the joy with which we rejoice for your sakes before our God,

For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what you have, not according to what you don’t have.

Therefore, my brothers, beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, stand firm in the Lord in this way, my beloved.

Your people offer themselves willingly in the day of your power, in holy array. Out of the womb of the morning, you have the dew of your youth.

My son, if your heart is wise, then my heart will be glad, even mine.Yes, my heart will rejoice when your lips speak what is right.

that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without defect in the middle of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you are seen as lights in the world,holding up the word of life, that I may have something to boast in the day of Christ, that I didn’t run in vain nor labor in vain.Yes, and if I am poured out on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice, and rejoice with you all.
