The people rejoiced at the willing response of their leaders, for they had given freely and wholeheartedly to the Lord. David the king also rejoiced greatly.

The people were happy when they saw what their leaders had been willing to give. The leaders had given freely. With their whole heart they had given everything to the Lord. King David was filled with joy.

Each one must do just as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.And God is able to make all grace overflow to you, so that, always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed;

Since I know, my God, that You put the heart to the test and delight in uprightness, I, in the integrity of my heart, have willingly offered all these things; so now with joy I have seen Your people, who are present here, make their offerings willingly to You.

But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at last you have revived your concern for me; indeed, you were concerned before, but you lacked an opportunity to act.

These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.

But now that Timothy has come to us from you, and has brought us good news of your faith and love, and that you always think kindly of us, longing to see us just as we also long to see you,for this reason, brothers and sisters, in all our distress and affliction we were comforted about you through your faith;for now we really live, if you stand firm in the Lord.For what thanks can we give to God for you in return for all the joy with which we rejoice because of you before our God,

For if the willingness is present, it is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have.

My heart goes out to the commanders of Israel, The volunteers among the people; Bless the Lord!

Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, whom I long to see, my joy and crown, stand firm in the Lord in this way, my beloved.

Your people will volunteer freely on the day of Your power; In holy splendor, from the womb of the dawn, Your youth are to You as the dew.

My son, if your heart is wise, My own heart also will be glad,And my innermost being will rejoice When your lips speak what is right.

so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world,holding firmly the word of life, so that on the day of Christ I can take pride because I did not run in vain nor labor in vain.But even if I am being poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice and share my joy with you all.
