The people rejoiced at the willing response of their leaders, for they had given freely and wholeheartedly to the Lord. David the king also rejoiced greatly.

歸家、集其友與鄰謂之曰、爾與我同樂、以亡羊已得矣、

人有樂行之心、則見納循其所有、非循其所無、

我心慕以色列領袖、我心慕樂意出戰之民、當讚美主、

我所愛所慕之兄弟、爾為我之喜樂、我之冠冕、我所愛者乎、爾當信主而堅立、

爾行軍之日、爾之民飾以聖裝、樂心相從、爾之壯丁多於黎明之露、

我子、如爾心存智慧、我心亦喜悅、爾口言方正、我衷亦歡樂、

則可純潔無疵、為天主之子、無可指摘、在此邪僻詭異詭異或作乖戾之世、可照耀其中、如燭世之光、執守生命之道、使我在基督日、有所可誇、因我所行所勞、非徒然也、我以爾之信為奉獻之祭祀、即我舍命流血、以我血為灌奠、我亦樂之、且與爾同樂、
