The people rejoiced at the willing response of their leaders, for they had given freely and wholeheartedly to the Lord. David the king also rejoiced greatly.

The people were happy when they saw what their leaders had been willing to give. The leaders had given freely. With their whole heart they had given everything to the Lord. King David was filled with joy.

因為我可以見證他們是按著自己的能力，甚至超過了自己的能力，甘心樂意，

每個人要照著心裡預先定好的，不要為難，也不要勉強，因為神喜愛那樂意給與的人。神能使一切的恩典豐豐富富地臨到你們，使你們總是在一切事上都能知足，在一切美善的工作上充實滿溢。

我在主裡極其歡喜，因為現在你們終於又萌發了思念我的心。其實你們一直在思念我，只是沒有機會表達。

「我把這些事告訴了你們，是要我的喜樂在你們裡面，並且使你們的喜樂得以滿足。

但是，現在提摩太從你們那裡來到我們這裡，帶來了你們信仰和愛心的好消息，並且說你們總是對我們懷著美好的記憶，切切地想見到我們，就像我們也渴望見到你們那樣。所以弟兄們，在我們的一切困苦和患難中，由於你們的緣故，藉著你們的信心，我們就受到安慰，因為，你們如果在主裡站立得穩，我們如今就真的活了。我們因著你們，在我們的神面前就喜樂；為這一切的喜樂，我們到底能用什麼樣的感謝為你們回報神呢？

回到家裡請朋友和鄰居來，對他們說：『你們與我一同歡樂吧，因為我找到了那隻丟失的羊。』

因為人如果有樂意之心，就會照著他所擁有的蒙悅納，並不是照著他所沒有的蒙悅納。

因此，我所愛的、所想念的弟兄們，我的喜樂、我的冠冕哪！各位蒙愛的人，你們當如此在主裡站立得穩！

在你掌權的日子，你的子民都甘心奉獻自己；你的少年人以聖潔為裝飾，如黎明初曉時的甘露歸屬你。

我兒啊，如果你的心有智慧，我的心也就歡喜！你的嘴說出正直的話，我的內心就會歡躍。

好使你們成為無可指責、純潔無偽的人，在這扭曲、敗壞的世代中，做神毫無瑕疵的兒女；在這世代中，要像星星的光輝一樣照耀在世上。你們要持守生命的話語，好讓我在基督的日子裡可以誇耀我所奔跑的沒有落空，我所勞苦的也沒有落空。然而，即使我被做為奠祭，澆在你們信仰的祭物和服事上，我也歡喜，並且和你們大家一同歡喜；
