The people rejoiced at the willing response of their leaders, for they had given freely and wholeheartedly to the Lord. David the king also rejoiced greatly.

各人要照著心裡所決定的捐輸，不要為難，不必勉強，因為捐得樂意的人，是神所喜愛的。神能把各樣的恩惠多多地加給你們，使你們凡事常常充足，多作各樣的善事。

我的神啊，我知道你察驗人心，喜悅正直；至於我，我以正直的心甘願奉獻這一切；現在我也非常歡喜看見你在這裡的人民，都甘願奉獻給你。

我在主裡大大地喜樂，因為你們現在又再想起我來；其實你們一向都在想念我，只是沒有機會表示。

“我把這些事告訴了你們，好讓我的喜樂存在你們心裡，並且使你們的喜樂滿溢。

提摩太剛剛從你們那裡回來，把你們信心和愛心的好消息帶給我們。他還說，你們常常懷念我們，切切想見我們，好像我們想見你們一樣。所以弟兄們，我們在這一切困苦患難中，因著你們的信心就得了安慰。如果你們在主裡站立得穩，我們就可以活下去了。我們因你們的緣故，在我們的神面前滿有喜樂；為這一切喜樂，我們可以為你們向神獻上怎麼樣的感謝呢！

你要向耶和華你的神舉行七七節，照著耶和華你的神賜福你的，盡你所能的獻上你手裡的甘心祭。你和你的兒女、僕婢，以及在你城裡的利未人、在你們中間的寄居者、孤兒和寡婦，都要在耶和華你的神選擇作他名的居所的地方歡樂。

回到家裡，請朋友鄰舍來，對他們說：‘請大家和我一同歡樂，因為我失去的羊已經找到了！’

因為人要是有願意作的心，按照他所有的，必蒙悅納，不是按照他所沒有的。

我的心傾向以色列的官長，他們在民中甘願犧牲自己；你們要稱頌耶和華。

我所想念親愛的弟兄們，你們就是我的喜樂、我的冠冕。所以，親愛的，你們應當靠著主站立得穩。

在你征戰的日子，你的人民都樂意投身；你的少年人以聖潔為裝飾，好像清晨的甘露，到你那裡。

我兒，如果你的心有智慧，我的心也就歡喜；你的嘴唇說正直話的時候，我的內心就歡樂。

好使你們無可指摘、純真無邪，在這彎曲乖謬的世代中，作神沒有瑕疵的兒女；你們要在這世代中發光，好像天上的光體一樣，把生命的道顯揚出來，使我在基督的日子可以誇耀我沒有空跑，也沒有徒勞。即使把我澆奠在你們信心的祭物和供奉上，我也喜樂，並且和你們大家一同喜樂。
