The total number of Zerah’s sons was five.The son of Karmi was Achar. He brought trouble on Israel. Some things that had been set apart to the Lord in a special way to be destroyed. He took some of those things. When he did that, he disobeyed the Lord’ s command.The son of Ethan was Azariah.Hezron was the father of Jerahmeel, Ram and Caleb.

Don’t be stubborn. Don’t be as your people were. Obey the Lord. Come to his temple. He has set it apart to himself forever. Serve the Lord your God. Then he’ll stop being angry with you.

Zedekiah didn’t keep his promise to Nebuchadnezzar and broke his treaty. Zedekiah had made a firm promise to keep it. But he broke it anyway. So he will not escape.

He says,‘ I want King Solomon to make a promise today. I want him to promise that he won’t kill me with his sword.’ ”Solomon replied,“ Let him show that he’s a man people can respect. Then not even one hair on his head will fall to the ground. But if I find out he’s done something evil, he will die.”King Solomon got some men to bring Adonijah down from the altar. He came and bowed down to King Solomon. Solomon said,“ Go on home.”

The Lord has made my position as king secure. I’m sitting on the throne of my father David. The Lord has built a royal house for me, just as he promised. You can be sure that the Lord lives. And you can be just as sure that Adonijah will be put to death today.”So King Solomon gave the order to Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada. Benaiah struck down Adonijah, and he died.

Then David ordered all Israel’s leaders to help his son Solomon.
