所罗门坐他父亲大卫的王位，他的国度非常稳固。

耶和华赐我许多儿子，在我儿子中拣选我儿子所罗门坐耶和华国度的王位，治理以色列。

我劝你因上帝誓言的缘故，当遵守王的命令。不要急躁离开王的面前，不要固执行恶，因为他凡事都随自己心意而行。王的话本有权力，谁能对他说：“你在做什么？”凡遵守命令的，必不经历祸患；智慧人的心知道适当的时机和必经的过程。

我儿啊，现今愿耶和华与你同在，使你亨通，建造耶和华—你上帝的殿，正如他指着你所说的。

在上有权柄的，人人要顺服，因为没有权柄不是来自上帝的。掌权的都是上帝所立的。

当你寿数满足归你祖先的时候，我必使你的后裔，你自己的儿子接续你；我也必坚定他的国。他必为我建造殿宇，我必坚定他的王位，直到永远。

耶和华凭信实向大卫起了誓，绝不改变：“我要立你身所生的坐在你的宝座上。

因有一婴孩为我们而生；有一子赐给我们。政权必担在他的肩头上；他名称为“奇妙策士、全能的上帝、永在的父、和平的君”。他的政权与平安必加增无穷。他必在大卫的宝座上治理他的国，以公平公义使国坚定稳固，从今直到永远。万军之耶和华的热心必成就这事。
