所罗门坐他父亲大卫的位，他的国甚是坚固。

耶和华赐我许多儿子，在我儿子中拣选所罗门坐耶和华的国位，治理以色列人。

我劝你遵守王的命令；既指神起誓，理当如此。不要急躁离开王的面前，不要固执行恶，因为他凡事都随自己的心意而行。王的话本有权力，谁敢问他说“你做什么”呢？凡遵守命令的，必不经历祸患；智慧人的心能辨明时候和定理。

我儿啊，现今愿耶和华与你同在，使你亨通，照他指着你说的话，建造耶和华你神的殿。

在上有权柄的，人人当顺服他，因为没有权柄不是出于神的。凡掌权的都是神所命的。

你寿数满足归你列祖的时候，我必使你的后裔接续你的位，我也必坚定他的国。他必为我建造殿宇；我必坚定他的国位直到永远。

耶和华向大卫、凭诚实起了誓，必不反复，说：“我要使你所生的坐在你的宝座上。

因有一婴孩为我们而生，有一子赐给我们，政权必担在他的肩头上。他名称为奇妙、策士、全能的神、永在的父、和平的君。他的政权与平安必加增无穷。他必在大卫的宝座上治理他的国，以公平公义使国坚定稳固，从今直到永远。万军之耶和华的热心必成就这事。
