So Solomon sat on the throne of the Lord as king in place of his father David. He prospered and all Israel obeyed him.

我勸你遵守王的命令，因為你向神起了誓；不要從王的面前急躁地離開，也不要參與惡事，因為王願意做什麼就做什麼。要知道，王的話語有權柄；誰能對他說：「你在做什麼呢？」遵守誡命的人必不遭遇禍患，智慧人的心懂得時機和次序；

所有的人都當服從在上掌權的，因為沒有一個掌權的不是出於神。所有掌權的，都是由神所指定的。

耶和華以信實向大衛起了誓，必不收回，他說：「我將從你親生的後裔中，立一位坐在你的寶座上。

因為有一嬰孩為我們而生，有一兒子賜給我們。政權必擔在他的肩上，他的名必稱為「奇妙的謀士」、「全能的神」、「永恆的父」、「和平的君」，他的政權與平安必加增無窮；他必在大衛的寶座上統管他的國，以公正和公義使國堅立穩固，從今直到永遠。萬軍之耶和華的熱心必成就這事。
