所羅門繼承大衛的王位，國勢強盛。

耶和華賜給我許多兒子，祂在我眾子中揀選了所羅門，讓他坐以色列的王位，治理耶和華的國。

我勸你遵守王的命令，因為你曾在上帝面前這樣發誓。不要在王面前魯莽行事，也不要參與惡行，因為王可以隨意行事。況且，王的命令至高無上，誰敢質問他呢？遵從王命的必免遭禍患，因為智者心裡懂得做事的時機和方法。

「兒啊，願耶和華與你同在，使你亨通，照你的上帝耶和華的吩咐去建造祂的殿。

人人都要服從政府的權柄，因為所有的權柄都是出於上帝。現存的政權都是上帝設立的。

你離世歸到祖先那裡的時候，我必使你的一位後裔繼承你的王位，使他的國堅立。他要為我建造殿宇，我必使他王位永固。

耶和華曾向大衛起了永不廢棄的誓說：「我必使你的後代繼承你的王位。

必有一個嬰兒為我們誕生，有一個孩子要賜給我們。祂必統治我們，祂被稱為奇妙的策士、全能的上帝、永存的父、和平的君。祂的國必長治久安。祂必坐在大衛的寶座上以公平和公義治國，使國家永固。萬軍之耶和華必熱切地成就此事。
