所罗门继承大卫的王位，国势强盛。

耶和华赐给我许多儿子，祂在我众子中拣选了所罗门，让他坐以色列的王位，治理耶和华的国。

我劝你遵守王的命令，因为你曾在上帝面前这样发誓。不要在王面前鲁莽行事，也不要参与恶行，因为王可以随意行事。况且，王的命令至高无上，谁敢质问他呢？遵从王命的必免遭祸患，因为智者心里懂得做事的时机和方法。

“儿啊，愿耶和华与你同在，使你亨通，照你的上帝耶和华的吩咐去建造祂的殿。

人人都要服从政府的权柄，因为所有的权柄都是出于上帝。现存的政权都是上帝设立的。

你离世归到祖先那里的时候，我必使你的一位后裔继承你的王位，使他的国坚立。他要为我建造殿宇，我必使他王位永固。

耶和华曾向大卫起了永不废弃的誓说：“我必使你的后代继承你的王位。

必有一个婴儿为我们诞生，有一个孩子要赐给我们，祂必统治我们。祂被称为奇妙的策士、全能的上帝、永存的父、和平的君。祂的国必长治久安。祂必坐在大卫的宝座上以公平和公义治国，使国家永固。万军之耶和华必热切地成就此事。
