“ Yet the Lord, the God of Israel, chose me from my whole family to be king over Israel forever. He chose Judah as leader, and from the tribe of Judah he chose my family, and from my father’s sons he was pleased to make me king over all Israel.

“ But the Lord chose me. He is the God of Israel. He chose me from my whole family to be king over Israel forever. He chose Judah to lead the tribes. From the tribe of Judah he chose my family. From my father’s sons he chose me. He was pleased to make me king over the whole nation of Israel.

Yet the Lord God of Israel chose me from all my father’s house to be king over Israel forever. For he chose Judah as leader, and in the house of Judah my father’s house, and among my father’s sons he took pleasure in me to make me king over all Israel.

“ Yet the Lord, the God of Israel, has chosen me from among all my father’s family to be king over Israel forever. For he has chosen the tribe of Judah to rule, and from among the families of Judah he chose my father’s family. And from among my father’s sons the Lord was pleased to make me king over all Israel.

“ Yet the LORD God of Israel chose me out of all my father’s family to be king over Israel forever. For he chose Judah as leader, and from the house of Judah, my father’s family, and from my father’s sons, he was pleased to make me king over all Israel.

Yet, the Lord, the God of Israel, chose me from all the household of my father to be king over Israel forever. For He has chosen Judah to be a leader; and in the house of Judah, my father’s house, and among the sons of my father He took pleasure in me to make me king over all Israel.

However the Lord God of Israel chose me above all the house of my father to be king over Israel forever, for He has chosen Judah to be the ruler. And of the house of Judah, the house of my father, and among the sons of my father, He was pleased with me to make me king over all Israel.

Howbeit Jehovah, the God of Israel, chose me out of all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever: for he hath chosen Judah to be prince; and in the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he took pleasure in me to make me king over all Israel;

“ Yet the Lord God of Israel chose me out of all my father’s household to be king over Israel forever. For He chose Judah as leader, and from the house of Judah, my father’s household, and from my father’s sons, He was pleased to make me king over all Israel.

Howbeit the LORD God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever: for he hath chosen Judah[ to be] the ruler; and of the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he liked me to make[ me] king over all Israel:

The LORD God of Israel chose me out of my father’s entire family to become king over Israel and have a permanent dynasty. Indeed, he chose Judah as leader, and my father’s family within Judah, and then he picked me out from among my father’s sons and made me king over all Israel.

However Yahweh, the God of Israel, chose me out of all the house of my father to be king over Israel forever. For he has chosen Judah to be prince; and in the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he took pleasure in me to make me king over all Israel.

耶和华对撒母耳说：“我既厌弃扫罗作以色列的王，你为他悲伤要到几时呢？你将膏油盛满了角，我差遣你往伯利恒人耶西那里去；因为我在他众子之内，预定一个作王的。”

犹大胜过一切弟兄，君王也是从他而出；长子的名分却归约瑟。

他们来的时候，撒母耳看见以利押，就心里说，耶和华的受膏者必定在他面前。耶和华却对撒母耳说：“不要看他的外貌和他身材高大，我不拣选他。因为，耶和华不像人看人：人是看外貌；耶和华是看内心。”耶西叫亚比拿达从撒母耳面前经过，撒母耳说：“耶和华也不拣选他。”耶西又叫沙玛从撒母耳面前经过，撒母耳说：“耶和华也不拣选他。”耶西叫他七个儿子都从撒母耳面前经过，撒母耳说：“这都不是耶和华所拣选的。”撒母耳对耶西说：“你的儿子都在这里吗？”他回答说：“还有个小的，现在放羊。”撒母耳对耶西说：“你打发人去叫他来；他若不来，我们必不坐席。”耶西就打发人去叫了他来。他面色光红，双目清秀，容貌俊美。耶和华说：“这就是他，你起来膏他。”撒母耳就用角里的膏油，在他诸兄中膏了他。从这日起，耶和华的灵就大大感动大卫。撒母耳起身回拉玛去了。

现在你喜悦赐福与仆人的家，可以永存在你面前。耶和华啊，你已经赐福，还要赐福到永远。”

“现在，你要告诉我仆人大卫，说万军之耶和华如此说：‘我从羊圈中将你召来，叫你不再跟从羊群，立你作我民以色列的君。你无论往哪里去，我常与你同在，剪除你的一切仇敌。我必使你得大名，好像世上大大有名的人一样。我必为我民以色列选定一个地方，栽培他们，使他们住自己的地方，不再迁移；凶恶之子也不像从前扰害他们，并不像我命士师治理我民以色列的时候一样。我必使你安靖，不被一切仇敌扰乱，并且我耶和华应许你，必为你建立家室。你寿数满足、与你列祖同睡的时候，我必使你的后裔接续你的位；我也必坚定他的国。他必为我的名建造殿宇；我必坚定他的国位，直到永远。我要作他的父，他要作我的子；他若犯了罪，我必用人的杖责打他，用人的鞭责罚他。但我的慈爱仍不离开他，像离开在你面前所废弃的扫罗一样。你的家和你的国必在我面前永远坚立。你的国位也必坚定，直到永远。’”

“犹大啊，你弟兄们必赞美你；你手必掐住仇敌的颈项；你父亲的儿子们必向你下拜。犹大是个小狮子；我儿啊，你抓了食便上去。你屈下身去，卧如公狮，蹲如母狮，谁敢惹你？圭必不离犹大，杖必不离他两脚之间，直等细罗来到，万民都必归顺。

耶和华啊，你所应许仆人和仆人家的话，求你坚定，直到永远，照你所说的而行。

西弗人到基比亚见扫罗，说：“大卫不是在旷野前的哈基拉山藏着吗？”

却拣选犹大支派，他所喜爱的锡安山。盖造他的圣所，好像高峰，又像他建立永存之地；又拣选他的仆人大卫，从羊圈中将他召来，叫他不再跟从那些带奶的母羊，为要牧养自己的百姓雅各和自己的产业以色列。于是，他按心中的纯正牧养他们，用手中的巧妙引导他们。

基列是我的；玛拿西是我的；以法莲是护卫我头的；犹大是我的杖；

他又领我到宽阔之处；他救拔我，因他喜悦我。

他们因你的名终日欢乐，因你的公义得以高举。你是他们力量的荣耀；因为你喜悦我们，我们的角必被高举。我们的盾牌属耶和华；我们的王属以色列的圣者。当时，你在异象中晓谕你的圣民，说：“我已把救助之力加在那有能者的身上；我高举那从民中所拣选的。我寻得我的仆人大卫，用我的圣膏膏他。我的手必使他坚立；我的膀臂也必坚固他。仇敌必不勒索他；凶恶之子也不苦害他。我要在他面前打碎他的敌人，击杀那恨他的人。只是我的信实和我的慈爱要与他同在；因我的名，他的角必被高举。我要使他的左手伸到海上，右手伸到河上。他要称呼我说：‘你是我的父，是我的神，是拯救我的磐石。’我也要立他为长子，为世上最高的君王。

基列是我的，玛拿西也是我的。以法莲是护卫我头的；犹大是我的杖。

我们的主分明是从犹大出来的；但这支派，摩西并没有提到祭司。

他不喜悦马的力大，不喜爱人的腿快。耶和华喜爱敬畏他和盼望他慈爱的人。
