大衛王就站起來，說：「我的弟兄，我的百姓啊，你們當聽我言，我心裏本想建造殿宇，安放耶和華的約櫃，作為我神的腳凳；我已經預備建造的材料。

大卫王站起来，说：“我的兄弟，我的人民哪，你们要听我的话；我心里有意要建造一所安放耶和华的约柜的殿宇，作我们的神的脚凳，并且我已经准备好要建造。

大衛王站起來說：「我的弟兄，我的人民啊，請聽我說。我本想建造一座殿宇安放耶和華的約櫃，作我們上帝的腳凳，我已準備好建造的材料。

大衛王站起來，說：“我的兄弟，我的人民哪，你們要聽我的話；我心裡有意要建造一所安放耶和華的約櫃的殿宇，作我們的神的腳凳，並且我已經準備好要建造。

大衛王站起來，說：『我的弟兄、我的人民啊，你們要聽我；我心裏本有意思要為永恆主的約櫃建造一座安居之殿、作為我們之上帝的腳凳；我並且已經準備好要建造了。

大衛王立而言曰、我昆弟、我民歟、其聽我言、我有意建室、安置耶和華之約匱、而為我上帝之足几、已備具以待建造、

大闢王立、而告民曰、爾為我民、亦我兄弟、宜聽我言、我素志欲建殿宇、置我上帝耶和華法匱、及駐蹕之所、我曾備材、以待經營。

大衛王起立曰、我兄弟、我民歟、宜聽我言、我意欲建殿宇、安置主之約匱、為我天主駐蹕駐蹕原文作足蹬之所、我已備材以待建造、

King David rose to his feet and said:“ Listen to me, my fellow Israelites, my people. I had it in my heart to build a house as a place of rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord, for the footstool of our God, and I made plans to build it.

King David stood up. He said,“ All of you Israelites, listen to me. With all my heart I wanted to build a house for the Lord. I wanted it to be a place of peace and rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord. The ark is the stool for our God’s feet. I made plans to build the Lord’ s house.

Then King David rose to his feet and said:“ Hear me, my brothers and my people. I had it in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord and for the footstool of our God, and I made preparations for building.

David rose to his feet and said:“ My brothers and my people! It was my desire to build a Temple where the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant, God’s footstool, could rest permanently. I made the necessary preparations for building it,

Then King David rose to his feet and said,“ Listen to me, my brothers and my people. It was in my heart to build a house as a resting place for the ark of the LORD’s covenant and as a footstool for our God. I had made preparations to build,

Then King David rose to his feet and said,“ Listen to me, my brothers and my people; I had intended to build a permanent home for the ark of the covenant of the Lord and for the footstool of our God. So I had made preparations to build it.

Then King David rose to his feet and said,“ Hear me, my brethren and my people: I had it in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and for the footstool of our God, and had made preparations to build it.

Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people: as for me, it was in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, and for the footstool of our God; and I had made ready for the building.

Then King David rose to his feet and said,“ Listen to me, my brothers and my people. It was in my heart to build a house as a resting place for the ark of the Lord’s covenant and as a footstool for our God. I had made preparations to build,

Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people:[ As for me], I[ had] in mine heart to build an house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and for the footstool of our God, and had made ready for the building:

King David rose to his feet and said:“ Listen to me, my brothers and my people. I wanted to build a temple where the ark of the LORD’s covenant could be placed as a footstool for our God. I have made the preparations for building it.

Then David the king stood up on his feet, and said,“ Hear me, my brothers, and my people! As for me, it was in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of Yahweh’s covenant, and for the footstool of our God; and I had prepared for the building.

耶和華如此說：天是我的座位；地是我的腳凳。你們要為我造何等的殿宇？哪裏是我安息的地方呢？

你們當尊崇耶和華－我們的神，在他腳凳前下拜。他本為聖！

大衛住在自己宮中，對先知拿單說：「看哪，我住在香柏木的宮中，耶和華的約櫃反在幔子裏。」拿單對大衛說：「你可以照你的心意而行，因為神與你同在。」

主何竟發怒，使黑雲遮蔽錫安城！他將以色列的華美從天扔在地上；在他發怒的日子並不記念自己的腳凳。

免得他向弟兄心高氣傲，偏左偏右，離了這誡命。這樣，他和他的子孫便可在以色列中，在國位上年長日久。」

說：這是我永遠安息之所；我要住在這裏，因為是我所願意的。

王的臣僕也來為我們的主大衛王祝福，說：『願王的神使所羅門的名比王的名更尊榮；使他的國位比王的國位更大。』王就在牀上屈身下拜。

大衛吩咐聚集住以色列地的外邦人，從其中派石匠鑿石頭，要建造神的殿。大衛預備許多鐵做門上的釘子和鈎子，又預備許多銅，多得無法可稱；又預備無數的香柏木，因為西頓人和泰爾人給大衛運了許多香柏木來。大衛說：「我兒子所羅門還年幼嬌嫩，要為耶和華建造的殿宇必須高大輝煌，使名譽榮耀傳遍萬國；所以我要為殿預備材料。」於是，大衛在未死之先預備的材料甚多。

因那使人成聖的和那些得以成聖的，都是出於一。所以，他稱他們為弟兄也不以為恥，說：我要將你的名傳與我的弟兄，在會中我要頌揚你；

他奪了哈大利謝臣僕所拿的金盾牌帶到耶路撒冷。大衛又從屬哈大利謝的提巴和均二城中奪取了許多的銅。後來所羅門用此製造銅海、銅柱，和一切的銅器。哈馬王陀烏聽見大衛殺敗瑣巴王哈大利謝的全軍，就打發他兒子哈多蘭去見大衛王，問他的安，為他祝福，因為他殺敗了哈大利謝（原來陀烏與哈大利謝常常爭戰）。哈多蘭帶了金銀銅的各樣器皿來。大衛王將這些器皿，並從各國奪來的金銀，就是從以東、摩押、亞捫、非利士、亞瑪力人所奪來的，都分別為聖獻給耶和華。

你總要立耶和華－你神所揀選的人為王。必從你弟兄中立一人；不可立你弟兄以外的人為王。

所羅門說：「我父大衛曾立意，要為耶和華－以色列神的名建殿。耶和華卻對我父大衛說：『你立意為我的名建殿，這意思甚好。

王住在自己宮中，耶和華使他安靖，不被四圍的仇敵擾亂。那時，王對先知拿單說：「看哪，我住在香柏木的宮中，神的約櫃反在幔子裏。」

約櫃安設之後，大衛派人在耶和華殿中管理歌唱的事。

我要將你的名傳與我的弟兄，在會中我要讚美你。

主說：天是我的座位，地是我的腳凳；你們要為我造何等的殿宇？哪裏是我安息的地方呢？

說：我必不進我的帳幕，也不上我的牀榻；我不容我的眼睛睡覺，也不容我的眼目打盹；直等我為耶和華尋得所在，為雅各的大能者尋得居所。我們聽說約櫃在以法他，我們在基列‧耶琳就尋見了。我們要進他的居所，在他腳凳前下拜。耶和華啊，求你興起，和你有能力的約櫃同入安息之所！

我在困難之中為耶和華的殿預備了金子十萬他連得，銀子一百萬他連得，銅和鐵多得無法可稱；我也預備了木頭、石頭，你還可以增添。

以色列眾人聚集到希伯崙見大衛，說：「我們原是你的骨肉。從前掃羅作王的時候，率領以色列人出入的是你；耶和華－你的神也曾應許你說：『你必牧養我的民以色列，作以色列的君。』」於是以色列的長老都來到希伯崙見大衛王。大衛在希伯崙耶和華面前與他們立約，他們就膏大衛作以色列的王，是照耶和華藉撒母耳所說的話。

有人告訴雅各說：「請看，你兒子約瑟到你這裏來了。」以色列就勉強在牀上坐起來。
