Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people: as for me, it was in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, and for the footstool of our God; and I had made ready for the building.

大卫王就站起来，说：“我的弟兄，我的百姓啊，你们当听我言，我心里本想建造殿宇，安放耶和华的约柜，作为我神的脚凳；我已经预备建造的材料。

大卫王站起来，说：“我的弟兄，我的百姓啊，请听我说！我心里本想建造殿宇，安放耶和华的约柜，作为我们上帝的脚凳，并且我已经预备了建造的材料。

大卫王站起来，说：“我的弟兄，我的百姓啊，请听我说！我心里本想建造殿宇，安放耶和华的约柜，作为我们神的脚凳，并且我已经预备了建造的材料。

大卫王站起来说：“我的弟兄，我的人民啊，请听我说。我本想建造一座殿宇安放耶和华的约柜，作我们上帝的脚凳，我已准备好建造的材料。

大卫王站起来，说：“我的兄弟，我的人民哪，你们要听我的话；我心里有意要建造一所安放耶和华的约柜的殿宇，作我们的神的脚凳，并且我已经准备好要建造。

大衛王就站起來，說：「我的弟兄，我的百姓啊，你們當聽我言，我心裏本想建造殿宇，安放耶和華的約櫃，作為我神的腳凳；我已經預備建造的材料。

大衛王站起來，說：「我的弟兄，我的百姓啊，請聽我說！我心裏本想建造殿宇，安放耶和華的約櫃，作為我們上帝的腳凳，並且我已經預備了建造的材料。

大衛王站起來說：「我的弟兄，我的人民啊，請聽我說。我本想建造一座殿宇安放耶和華的約櫃，作我們上帝的腳凳，我已準備好建造的材料。

大衛王站起來，說：“我的兄弟，我的人民哪，你們要聽我的話；我心裡有意要建造一所安放耶和華的約櫃的殿宇，作我們的神的腳凳，並且我已經準備好要建造。

大衛王站起來，說：『我的弟兄、我的人民啊，你們要聽我；我心裏本有意思要為永恆主的約櫃建造一座安居之殿、作為我們之上帝的腳凳；我並且已經準備好要建造了。

大衛王立而言曰、我昆弟、我民歟、其聽我言、我有意建室、安置耶和華之約匱、而為我上帝之足几、已備具以待建造、

大闢王立、而告民曰、爾為我民、亦我兄弟、宜聽我言、我素志欲建殿宇、置我上帝耶和華法匱、及駐蹕之所、我曾備材、以待經營。

大衛王起立曰、我兄弟、我民歟、宜聽我言、我意欲建殿宇、安置主之約匱、為我天主駐蹕駐蹕原文作足蹬之所、我已備材以待建造、

King David rose to his feet and said:“ Listen to me, my fellow Israelites, my people. I had it in my heart to build a house as a place of rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord, for the footstool of our God, and I made plans to build it.

King David stood up. He said,“ All of you Israelites, listen to me. With all my heart I wanted to build a house for the Lord. I wanted it to be a place of peace and rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord. The ark is the stool for our God’s feet. I made plans to build the Lord’ s house.

Then King David rose to his feet and said:“ Hear me, my brothers and my people. I had it in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord and for the footstool of our God, and I made preparations for building.

David rose to his feet and said:“ My brothers and my people! It was my desire to build a Temple where the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant, God’s footstool, could rest permanently. I made the necessary preparations for building it,

Then King David rose to his feet and said,“ Listen to me, my brothers and my people. It was in my heart to build a house as a resting place for the ark of the LORD’s covenant and as a footstool for our God. I had made preparations to build,

Then King David rose to his feet and said,“ Listen to me, my brothers and my people; I had intended to build a permanent home for the ark of the covenant of the Lord and for the footstool of our God. So I had made preparations to build it.

Then King David rose to his feet and said,“ Hear me, my brethren and my people: I had it in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and for the footstool of our God, and had made preparations to build it.

Then King David rose to his feet and said,“ Listen to me, my brothers and my people. It was in my heart to build a house as a resting place for the ark of the Lord’s covenant and as a footstool for our God. I had made preparations to build,

Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people:[ As for me], I[ had] in mine heart to build an house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and for the footstool of our God, and had made ready for the building:

King David rose to his feet and said:“ Listen to me, my brothers and my people. I wanted to build a temple where the ark of the LORD’s covenant could be placed as a footstool for our God. I have made the preparations for building it.

Then David the king stood up on his feet, and said,“ Hear me, my brothers, and my people! As for me, it was in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of Yahweh’s covenant, and for the footstool of our God; and I had prepared for the building.

Thus saith Jehovah, Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: what manner of house will ye build unto me? and what place shall be my rest?

Exalt ye Jehovah our God, And worship at his footstool: Holy is he.

And it came to pass, when David dwelt in his house, that David said to Nathan the prophet, Lo, I dwell in a house of cedar, but the ark of the covenant of Jehovah dwelleth under curtains.And Nathan said unto David, Do all that is in thy heart; for God is with thee.

How hath the Lord covered the daughter of Zion with a cloud in his anger! He hath cast down from heaven unto the earth the beauty of Israel, And hath not remembered his footstool in the day of his anger.

that his heart be not lifted up above his brethren, and that he turn not aside from the commandment, to the right hand, or to the left: to the end that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he and his children, in the midst of Israel.

This is my resting- place for ever: Here will I dwell; for I have desired it.

And moreover the king’s servants came to bless our lord king David, saying, Thy God make the name of Solomon better than thy name, and make his throne greater than thy throne: and the king bowed himself upon the bed.

And David commanded to gather together the sojourners that were in the land of Israel; and he set masons to hew wrought stones to build the house of God.And David prepared iron in abundance for the nails for the doors of the gates, and for the couplings; and brass in abundance without weight;and cedar- trees without number: for the Sidonians and they of Tyre brought cedar- trees in abundance to David.And David said, Solomon my son is young and tender, and the house that is to be builded for Jehovah must be exceeding magnificent, of fame and of glory throughout all countries: I will therefore make preparation for it. So David prepared abundantly before his death.

For both he that sanctifieth and they that are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, In the midst of the congregation will I sing thy praise.

And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadarezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.And from Tibhath and from Cun, cities of Hadarezer, David took very much brass, wherewith Solomon made the brazen sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of brass.And when Tou king of Hamath heard that David had smitten all the host of Hadarezer king of Zobah,he sent Hadoram his son to king David, to salute him, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadarezer and smitten him( for Hadarezer had wars with Tou); and he had with him all manner of vessels of gold and silver and brass.These also did king David dedicate unto Jehovah, with the silver and the gold that he carried away from all the nations; from Edom, and from Moab, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.

thou shalt surely set him king over thee, whom Jehovah thy God shall choose: one from among thy brethren shalt thou set king over thee; thou mayest not put a foreigner over thee, who is not thy brother.

Now it was in the heart of David my father to build a house for the name of Jehovah, the God of Israel.But Jehovah said unto David my father, Whereas it was in thy heart to build a house for my name, thou didst well that it was in thy heart:

And it came to pass, when the king dwelt in his house, and Jehovah had given him rest from all his enemies round about,that the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell in a house of cedar, but the ark of God dwelleth within curtains.

And these are they whom David set over the service of song in the house of Jehovah, after that the ark had rest.

I will declare thy name unto my brethren: In the midst of the assembly will I praise thee.

The heaven is my throne, And the earth the footstool of my feet: What manner of house will ye build me? saith the Lord: Or what is the place of my rest?

Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, Nor go up into my bed;I will not give sleep to mine eyes, Or slumber to mine eyelids;Until I find out a place for Jehovah, A tabernacle for the Mighty One of Jacob.Lo, we heard of it in Ephrathah: We found it in the field of the wood.We will go into his tabernacles; We will worship at his footstool.Arise, O Jehovah, into thy resting- place; Thou, and the ark of thy strength.

Now, behold, in my affliction I have prepared for the house of Jehovah a hundred thousand talents of gold, and a thousand thousand talents of silver, and of brass and iron without weight; for it is in abundance: timber also and stone have I prepared; and thou mayest add thereto.

Then all Israel gathered themselves to David unto Hebron, saying, Behold, we are thy bone and thy flesh.In times past, even when Saul was king, it was thou that leddest out and broughtest in Israel: and Jehovah thy God said unto thee, Thou shalt be shepherd of my people Israel, and thou shalt be prince over my people Israel.So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and David made a covenant with them in Hebron before Jehovah; and they anointed David king over Israel, according to the word of Jehovah by Samuel.

And one told Jacob, and said, Behold, thy son Joseph cometh unto thee: and Israel strengthened himself, and sat upon the bed.
