Then David gave his son Solomon the plans for the portico of the temple, its buildings, its storerooms, its upper parts, its inner rooms and the place of atonement.

David gave to his son Solomon the blueprints for the temple porch, its buildings, its treasuries, its upper areas, its inner rooms, and the room for atonement.

“ All this”, David said,“ I have been made to understand in writing from Yahweh’s hand, even all the works of this pattern.”

See that you make them after their pattern, which has been shown to you on the mountain.

The porch in front of the temple of the house had a length of twenty cubits, which was along the width of the house. Ten cubits was its width in front of the house.

who serve a copy and shadow of the heavenly things, even as Moses was warned by God when he was about to make the tabernacle, for he said,“ See, you shall make everything according to the pattern that was shown to you on the mountain.”

You shall make a mercy seat of pure gold. Two and a half cubits shall be its length, and a cubit and a half its width.You shall make two cherubim of hammered gold. You shall make them at the two ends of the mercy seat.Make one cherub at the one end, and one cherub at the other end. You shall make the cherubim on its two ends of one piece with the mercy seat.The cherubim shall spread out their wings upward, covering the mercy seat with their wings, with their faces toward one another. The faces of the cherubim shall be toward the mercy seat.You shall put the mercy seat on top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put the covenant that I will give you.There I will meet with you, and I will tell you from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are on the ark of the covenant, all that I command you for the children of Israel.

Then he brought me to the porch of the house, and measured each post of the porch, five cubits on this side, and five cubits on that side. The width of the gate was three cubits on this side and three cubits on that side.The length of the porch was twenty cubits, and the width eleven cubits; even by the steps by which they went up to it. There were pillars by the posts, one on this side, and another on that side.

The priests brought in the ark of Yahweh’s covenant to its place, into the inner sanctuary of the house, to the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubim.

He measured also the porch of the gate toward the house, one reed.Then he measured the porch of the gate, eight cubits; and its posts, two cubits; and the porch of the gate was toward the house.

Against the wall of the house, he built floors all around, against the walls of the house all around, both of the temple and of the inner sanctuary; and he made side rooms all around.The lowest floor was five cubits wide, and the middle was six cubits wide, and the third was seven cubits wide; for on the outside he made offsets in the wall of the house all around, that the beams should not be inserted into the walls of the house.

He built the floors all along the house, each five cubits high; and they rested on the house with timber of cedar.

The side rooms were in three stories, one over another, and thirty in order. They entered into the wall which belonged to the house for the side rooms all around, that they might be supported, and not penetrate the wall of the house.The side rooms were wider on the higher levels, because the walls were narrower at the higher levels. Therefore the width of the house increased upward; and so one went up from the lowest level to the highest through the middle level.I saw also that the house had a raised base all around. The foundations of the side rooms were a full reed of six great cubits.The thickness of the wall, which was for the side rooms, on the outside, was five cubits. That which was left was the place of the side rooms that belonged to the house.Between the rooms was a width of twenty cubits around the house on every side.The doors of the side rooms were toward an open area that was left, one door toward the north, and another door toward the south. The width of the open area was five cubits all around.

From the forefront of the gate at the entrance to the forefront of the inner porch of the gate were fifty cubits.

According to all that Yahweh commanded Moses, so the children of Israel did all the work.Moses saw all the work, and behold, they had done it as Yahweh had commanded. They had done so; and Moses blessed them.

For a tabernacle was prepared. In the first part were the lamp stand, the table, and the show bread; which is called the Holy Place.After the second veil was the tabernacle which is called the Holy of Holies,having a golden altar of incense, and the ark of the covenant overlaid on all sides with gold, in which was a golden pot holding the manna, Aaron’s rod that budded, and the tablets of the covenant;and above it cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat, of which things we can’t speak now in detail.Now these things having been thus prepared, the priests go in continually into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the services,but into the second the high priest alone, once in the year, not without blood, which he offers for himself, and for the errors of the people.The Holy Spirit is indicating this, that the way into the Holy Place wasn’t yet revealed while the first tabernacle was still standing.

He built twenty cubits on the back part of the house with boards of cedar from the floor to the ceiling. He built them for it within, for an inner sanctuary, even for the most holy place.In front of the temple sanctuary was forty cubits.There was cedar on the house within, carved with buds and open flowers. All was cedar. No stone was visible.He prepared an inner sanctuary in the middle of the house within, to set the ark of Yahweh’s covenant there.Within the inner sanctuary was twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in width, and twenty cubits in its height; and he overlaid it with pure gold; and he covered the altar with cedar.

So he measured the house, one hundred cubits long; and the separate place, and the building, with its walls, one hundred cubits long;also the width of the face of the house, and of the separate place toward the east, one hundred cubits.He measured the length of the building before the separate place which was at its back, and its galleries on the one side and on the other side, one hundred cubits from the inner temple, and the porches of the courtthe thresholds, and the closed windows, and the galleries around on their three stories, opposite the threshold, with wood ceilings all around, and from the ground up to the windows,( now the windows were covered),to the space above the door, even to the inner house, and outside, and by all the wall all around inside and outside, by measure.

The priest the son of Aaron shall be with the Levites, when the Levites take tithes. The Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes to the house of our God, to the rooms, into the treasure house.For the children of Israel and the children of Levi shall bring the wave offering of the grain, of the new wine, and of the oil, to the rooms, where the vessels of the sanctuary are, and the priests who minister, with the gatekeepers and the singers. We will not forsake the house of our God.

Now these are the foundations which Solomon laid for the building of God’s house. The length by cubits after the first measure was sixty cubits, and the width twenty cubits.The porch that was in front, its length, according to the width of the house, was twenty cubits, and the height one hundred twenty; and he overlaid it within with pure gold.He made the larger room with a ceiling of cypress wood, which he overlaid with fine gold, and ornamented it with palm trees and chains.He decorated the house with precious stones for beauty. The gold was gold from Parvaim.He also overlaid the house, the beams, the thresholds, its walls, and its doors with gold; and engraved cherubim on the walls.He made the most holy place. Its length, according to the width of the house, was twenty cubits, and its width twenty cubits; and he overlaid it with fine gold, amounting to six hundred talents.The weight of the nails was fifty shekels of gold. He overlaid the upper rooms with gold.In the most holy place he made two cherubim by carving; and they overlaid them with gold.

for the four chief gatekeepers, who were Levites, were in an office of trust, and were over the rooms and over the treasuries in God’s house.They stayed around God’s house, because that duty was on them; and to their duty was its opening morning by morning.Certain of them were in charge of the vessels of service; for these were brought in by count, and these were taken out by count.Some of them also were appointed over the furniture, and over all the vessels of the sanctuary, over the fine flour, the wine, the oil, the frankincense, and the spices.

“ Go to the house of the Rechabites, and speak to them, and bring them into Yahweh’s house, into one of the rooms, and give them wine to drink.”

He took and put the covenant into the ark, and set the poles on the ark, and put the mercy seat above on the ark.He brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up the veil of the screen, and screened the ark of the covenant, as Yahweh commanded Moses.

Of the Levites, Ahijah was over the treasures of God’s house and over the treasures of the dedicated things.The sons of Ladan, the sons of the Gershonites belonging to Ladan, the heads of the fathers’ households belonging to Ladan the Gershonite: Jehieli.The sons of Jehieli: Zetham, and Joel his brother, over the treasures of Yahweh’s house.Of the Amramites, of the Izharites, of the Hebronites, of the Uzzielites:and Shebuel the son of Gershom, the son of Moses, was ruler over the treasures.His brothers: of Eliezer, Rehabiah his son, and Jeshaiah his son, and Joram his son, and Zichri his son, and Shelomoth his son.This Shelomoth and his brothers were over all the treasures of the dedicated things, which David the king, and the heads of the fathers’ households, the captains over thousands and hundreds, and the captains of the army, had dedicated.They dedicated some of the plunder won in battles to repair Yahweh’s house.

You shall set up the tabernacle according to the way that it was shown to you on the mountain.

He looked up and saw the rich people who were putting their gifts into the treasury.

“ You, son of man, show the house to the house of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities; and let them measure the pattern.If they are ashamed of all that they have done, make known to them the form of the house, and its fashion, and its exits, and its entrances, and all its forms, and all its ordinances, and all its forms, and all its laws; and write it in their sight; that they may keep the whole form of it, and all its ordinances, and do them.

had prepared for him a great room, where before they laid the meal offerings, the frankincense, the vessels, and the tithes of the grain, the new wine, and the oil, which were given by commandment to the Levites, the singers, and the gatekeepers; and the wave offerings for the priests.
