And everything dedicated by Samuel the seer and by Saul son of Kish, Abner son of Ner and Joab son of Zeruiah, and all the other dedicated things were in the care of Shelomith and his relatives.

Samuel the prophet had set apart some things for God. Saul, the son of Kish, had set apart other things. So had Abner, the son of Ner. And so had Joab, the son of Zeruiah. All these things and everything else that had been set apart were taken care of by Shelomith and his relatives.

Also all that Samuel the seer and Saul the son of Kish and Abner the son of Ner and Joab the son of Zeruiah had dedicated— all dedicated gifts were in the care of Shelomoth and his brothers.

Shelomoth and his relatives also cared for the gifts dedicated to the Lord by Samuel the seer, Saul son of Kish, Abner son of Ner, and Joab son of Zeruiah. All the other dedicated gifts were in their care, too.

All that the seer Samuel, Saul son of Kish, Abner son of Ner, and Joab son of Zeruiah had dedicated, along with everything else that had been dedicated, were in the care of Shelomith and his relatives.

And all that Samuel the seer had dedicated, and Saul the son of Kish, Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Zeruiah, everyone who had dedicated anything, all of this was under the care of Shelomoth and his relatives.

扫罗看见大卫去迎战非利士人，就问押尼珥元帅说：“押尼珥，那年轻人是谁的儿子？”押尼珥说：“王啊，我在你面前起誓，我不知道。”

扫罗执掌以色列的国权，攻打他四围所有的仇敌，就是摩押人、亚扪人、以东人和琐巴诸王，以及非利士人。他无论往何处去，都打败他们。扫罗奋勇作战，击败亚玛力人，救了以色列脱离抢掠他们之人的手。扫罗的儿子是约拿单、亦施韦、麦基‧舒亚。他的两个女儿：长女名叫米拉，次女名叫米甲。扫罗的妻子名叫亚希暖，是亚希玛斯的女儿。扫罗军队的元帅名叫押尼珥，是扫罗的叔叔尼珥的儿子。扫罗的父亲基士，押尼珥的父亲尼珥，都是亚别的儿子。

约押看见战阵对着他前后摆列，就把从以色列所有精兵中挑选出来的，摆阵迎战亚兰人。他把其余的兵交在他兄弟亚比筛手里，亚比筛就摆阵迎战亚扪人。约押对亚比筛说：“亚兰人若强过我，你就来帮助我；亚扪人若强过你，我就去帮助你。你要刚强，我们要为自己的百姓，为我们上帝的城镇奋勇。愿耶和华照他所看为好的去做！”于是，约押和跟随他的士兵前进攻打亚兰人；亚兰人在他面前逃跑。亚扪人见亚兰人逃跑，他们也在亚比筛面前逃跑进城。约押就离开亚扪人，回耶路撒冷去了。
