These were the clans of Levi, according to their records.Amram married his father’s sister Jochebed, and she bore him Aaron and Moses.( The length of Amram’s life was 137 years.)The sons of Izhar were Korah, Nepheg, and Zikri.The sons of Uzziel were Mishael, Elzaphan, and Sithri.Aaron married Elisheba, the daughter of Amminadab and sister of Nahshon, and she bore him Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.The sons of Korah were Assir, Elkanah, and Abiasaph. These were the Korahite clans.

The divisions of Aaron’s descendants were as follows: The sons of Aaron: Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

And these are the Levites who were numbered according to their families: from Gershon, the family of the Gershonites; of Kohath, the family of the Kohathites; from Merari, the family of the Merarites.These are the families of the Levites: the family of the Libnites, the family of the Hebronites, the family of the Mahlites, the family of the Mushites, the family of the Korahites. Kohath became the father of Amram.

The divisions of the gatekeepers: From the Korahites: Meshelemiah, son of Kore, one of the sons of Asaph.

Preparations were made, and the priests stood at their posts and the Levites in their divisions as prescribed by the king.

Hezekiah appointed the divisions of the priests and Levites to do their assigned tasks– to offer burnt sacrifices and present offerings and to serve, give thanks, and offer praise in the gates of the LORD’s sanctuary.
