Of which, twenty and four thousand[ were] to set forward the work of the house of the LORD; and six thousand[ were] officers and judges:

David said,“ Of these, twenty- four thousand are to be in charge of the work of the temple of the Lord and six thousand are to be officials and judges.

David said,“ From them, 24,000 will be in charge of the work of the Lord’ s temple. And 6,000 will be officials and judges.

“ Twenty-four thousand of these,” David said,“ shall have charge of the work in the house of the Lord, 6,000 shall be officers and judges,

Then David said,“ From all the Levites, 24,000 will supervise the work at the Temple of the Lord. Another 6,000 will serve as officials and judges.

“ Of these,” David said,“ twenty-four thousand are to be in charge of the work on the LORD’s temple, six thousand are to be officers and judges,

Of these, twenty four thousand were to oversee the work of the house of the Lord; and six thousand were officers and judges,

Of these, twenty-four thousand were to look after the work of the house of the Lord, six thousand were officers and judges,

Of these, twenty and four thousand were to oversee the work of the house of Jehovah; and six thousand were officers and judges;

“ Of these,” David said,“ 24,000 are to be in charge of the work on the Lord’s temple, 6,000 are to be officers and judges,

David said,“ Of these, 24,000 are to direct the work of the LORD’s temple; 6,000 are to be officials and judges;

David said,“ Of these, twenty- four thousand were to oversee the work of Yahweh’s house, six thousand were officers and judges,

Moreover in Jerusalem did Jehoshaphat set of the Levites, and[ of] the priests, and of the chief of the fathers of Israel, for the judgment of the LORD, and for controversies, when they returned to Jerusalem.

Judges and officers shalt thou make thee in all thy gates, which the LORD thy God giveth thee, throughout thy tribes: and they shall judge the people with just judgment.

Now in the second year of their coming unto the house of God at Jerusalem, in the second month, began Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and the remnant of their brethren the priests and the Levites, and all they that were come out of the captivity unto Jerusalem; and appointed the Levites, from twenty years old and upward, to set forward the work of the house of the LORD.Then stood Jeshua[ with] his sons and his brethren, Kadmiel and his sons, the sons of Judah, together, to set forward the workmen in the house of God: the sons of Henadad,[ with] their sons and their brethren the Levites.

And Joel the son of Zichri[ was] their overseer: and Judah the son of Senuah[ was] second over the city.

Because their office[ was] to wait on the sons of Aaron for the service of the house of the LORD, in the courts, and in the chambers, and in the purifying of all holy things, and the work of the service of the house of God;Both for the shewbread, and for the fine flour for meat offering, and for the unleavened cakes, and for[ that which is baked in] the pan, and for that which is fried, and for all manner of measure and size;And to stand every morning to thank and praise the LORD, and likewise at even;And to offer all burnt sacrifices unto the LORD in the sabbaths, in the new moons, and on the set feasts, by number, according to the order commanded unto them, continually before the LORD:And that they should keep the charge of the tabernacle of the congregation, and the charge of the holy[ place], and the charge of the sons of Aaron their brethren, in the service of the house of the LORD.

The overseer also of the Levites at Jerusalem[ was] Uzzi the son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Micha. Of the sons of Asaph, the singers[ were] over the business of the house of God.

And of the Levites, Ahijah[ was] over the treasures of the house of God, and over the treasures of the dedicated things.[ As concerning] the sons of Laadan; the sons of the Gershonite Laadan, chief fathers,[ even] of Laadan the Gershonite,[ were] Jehieli.The sons of Jehieli; Zetham, and Joel his brother,[ which were] over the treasures of the house of the LORD.Of the Amramites,[ and] the Izharites, the Hebronites,[ and] the Uzzielites:And Shebuel the son of Gershom, the son of Moses,[ was] ruler of the treasures.And his brethren by Eliezer; Rehabiah his son, and Jeshaiah his son, and Joram his son, and Zichri his son, and Shelomith his son.Which Shelomith and his brethren[ were] over all the treasures of the dedicated things, which David the king, and the chief fathers, the captains over thousands and hundreds, and the captains of the host, had dedicated.Out of the spoils won in battles did they dedicate to maintain the house of the LORD.

If there arise a matter too hard for thee in judgment, between blood and blood, between plea and plea, and between stroke and stroke,[ being] matters of controversy within thy gates: then shalt thou arise, and get thee up into the place which the LORD thy God shall choose;And thou shalt come unto the priests the Levites, and unto the judge that shall be in those days, and enquire; and they shall shew thee the sentence of judgment:And thou shalt do according to the sentence, which they of that place which the LORD shall choose shall shew thee; and thou shalt observe to do according to all that they inform thee:

Their brethren also the Levites[ were] appointed unto all manner of service of the tabernacle of the house of God.

Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

Of the Izharites, Chenaniah and his sons[ were] for the outward business over Israel, for officers and judges.[ And] of the Hebronites, Hashabiah and his brethren, men of valour, a thousand and seven hundred,[ were] officers among them of Israel on this side Jordan westward in all the business of the LORD, and in the service of the king.Among the Hebronites[ was] Jerijah the chief,[ even] among the Hebronites, according to the generations of his fathers. In the fortieth year of the reign of David they were sought for, and there were found among them mighty men of valour at Jazer of Gilead.

For the priest’s lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he[ is] the messenger of the LORD of hosts.

And[ certain] of them had the charge of the ministering vessels, that they should bring them in and out by tale.[ Some] of them also[ were] appointed to oversee the vessels, and all the instruments of the sanctuary, and the fine flour, and the wine, and the oil, and the frankincense, and the spices.And[ some] of the sons of the priests made the ointment of the spices.And Mattithiah,[ one] of the Levites, who[ was] the firstborn of Shallum the Korahite, had the set office over the things that were made in the pans.And[ other] of their brethren, of the sons of the Kohathites,[ were] over the shewbread, to prepare[ it] every sabbath.
