For David had said,“ Since the Lord, the God of Israel, has granted rest to his people and has come to dwell in Jerusalem forever,

主爾之天主祐爾、賜爾四周平康、以斯地之居民付我手、而使斯地歸主與主之民、

不復如曩時我命士師、治我民以色列時擾害之焉、我必賜安於爾不為敵所害、我亦應許爾、必為爾建立家室、

惟願駐蹕耶路撒冷之主、在郇山受讚美、阿勒盧亞、

主如是云、我將歸郇、駐蹕於耶路撒冷、耶路撒冷將稱為誠信之邑、萬有之主之山、將稱為聖山、

王居宮中、主賜以平康、不為四周之敵所擾、

蓋天主之盛德、具備在基督內、如有形然、

我與主所賜我之諸子、在以色列族中、為預兆、為奇跡、皆居郇山萬有之主所使、

我已建殿、為主之居、為主駐蹕之所、至於永遠、

須歌頌居郇之主、將主所行者傳揚列國、

天主之殿與偶像、何同之有、爾乃永生天主之殿、如經載云、天主曰、我將居於彼中、行於彼間、我將為彼之天主、彼為我之民、又載云、

主升高處、攜帶所擄者、受禮物於人、即於悖逆之人亦受、致自有之主天主、可居於其間、

然天主豈真居於地乎、天與天上之天、尚不足為主之居所、況我所建此殿乎、

爾曹層峰叠嶺之山、為何怒視天主所選之山、此山為天主駐蹕之所、必永居其上、

其流血之罪、昔我未洗、今必洗之、或作敵流其血此仇我未曾復今我必復之我耶和華駐蹕於郇、
