因為耶和華揀選了錫安，願意當作自己的居所，說：這是我永遠安息之所；我要住在這裏，因為是我所願意的。

「耶和華－你們的神不是與你們同在嗎？不是叫你們四圍都平安嗎？因他已將這地的居民交在我手中，這地就在耶和華與他百姓面前制伏了。

並不像我命士師治理我民以色列的時候一樣。我必使你安靖，不被一切仇敵擾亂，並且我－耶和華應許你，必為你建立家室。

住在耶路撒冷的耶和華該從錫安受稱頌。你們要讚美耶和華！

耶和華如此說：我現在回到錫安，要住在耶路撒冷中。耶路撒冷必稱為誠實的城，萬軍之耶和華的山必稱為聖山。

王住在自己宮中，耶和華使他安靖，不被四圍的仇敵擾亂。

因為神本性一切的豐盛都有形有體地居住在基督裏面，

看哪，我與耶和華所給我的兒女，就是從住在錫安山萬軍之耶和華來的，在以色列中作為預兆和奇蹟。

我已經建造殿宇作你的居所，為你永遠的住處。

應當歌頌居錫安的耶和華，將他所行的傳揚在眾民中。

神的殿和偶像有甚麼相同呢？因為我們是永生神的殿，就如神曾說：我要在他們中間居住，在他們中間來往；我要作他們的神；他們要作我的子民。

你已經升上高天，擄掠仇敵；你在人間，就是在悖逆的人間，受了供獻，叫耶和華神可以與他們同住。

「神果真住在地上嗎？看哪，天和天上的天尚且不足你居住的，何況我所建的這殿呢？

你們多峯多嶺的山哪，為何斜看神所願居住的山？耶和華必住這山，直到永遠！

我未曾報復流血的罪，現在我要報復，因為耶和華住在錫安。
