因為耶和華揀選了錫安，定意把它當作自己的居所。他說：“這是我永遠安息的居所；我要住在這裡，因為我定意這樣作。

現在你們要立定心意，尋求耶和華你們的神；你們當起來，建造耶和華神的聖所，好把耶和華的約櫃和神的神聖器皿，都搬進為耶和華的名所建造的殿宇中。”

像我立了士師治理我的子民以色列的那天以來那樣。我要使你安享太平，不受你所有的仇敵侵擾。耶和華向你宣告，耶和華要親自為你建立一個朝代。

從錫安來的耶和華，就是住在耶路撒冷的，是應當稱頌的。你們要讚美耶和華。

耶和華這樣說：‘我要返回錫安，住在耶路撒冷裡面；耶路撒冷必稱為“信實之城”，萬軍之耶和華的山必稱為“聖山”。’

那時，王住在自己的宮中，耶和華使他安享太平，不受周圍仇敵的侵擾。

因為神本性的一切豐盛，都有形有體地住在基督裡面，

看哪！我和耶和華賜給我的孩子，在以色列中作預兆與奇蹟，都是從住在錫安山的萬軍之耶和華來的。

現在我果然為你建造了一座巍峨的殿，作你永遠的居所。”

你們要歌頌住在錫安的耶和華，要在萬民中傳揚他的作為。

神的殿和偶像怎能協調呢？我們就是永生神的殿，正如神說：“我要住在他們中間，在他們中間來往；我要作他們的神，他們要作我的子民。”

你升到高天的時候，擄了許多俘虜；你在人間，就是在悖逆的人當中，接受了禮物，使耶和華神可以與他們同住。

“神真的住在地上嗎？看哪！天和天上的天尚且不能容納你，何況我建造的這殿呢？

多峰多嶺的山哪！你們為甚麼敵視神所喜悅居住的山呢？耶和華必住在那裡，直到永遠。

現在我要追討我還未有追討的流人血的罪。耶和華在錫安居住。”
