他们把银子给石匠和木匠，把食物、饮料和油给西顿人和推罗人，叫他们照着波斯王古列所允许的，把香柏木从黎巴嫩经海运送到约帕。

建殿是用采石场预备好了的石料；所以建殿的时候，在殿里听不到锤子、斧头或任何铁器的声音。

这样看来，你们不再是外人和客旅，而是与圣徒一同作国民，是神家里的人了，并且建造在使徒和先知的根基上，基督耶稣自己就是奠基石，整座建筑都靠着他连接配合，渐渐增长成为在主里面的圣所。你们在他里面也一同被建造，成为神藉着圣灵居住的所在。

那时，外人要服事你们，牧放你们的羊群，外族人要作你们的农夫和葡萄园丁。至于你们，却要称为耶和华的祭司，人必称你们为我们神的仆人；你们要享用列国的财富，因得着他们的荣耀而夸耀。

至于以色列人以外的赫人、亚摩利人、比利洗人、希未人和耶布斯人剩下来的人民，他们的子孙仍然留在那地，以色列人没有消灭他们。于是，所罗门征召他们作苦工，直到今日。

推罗王希兰派使者来见大卫，给他送上香柏木、石匠和木匠，要为他建造宫殿。

以及泥匠和石匠；又用来购买木材和凿好的石头，来修理耶和华殿里毁坏的地方，以及支付一切修理耶和华殿的开支。

那时，你们是在基督以外，与以色列国无分，在带有应许的约上是外人，在世上没有盼望，没有神。

从根基到屋檐，从外院到大院，这一切都是用贵重的石块，按尺寸凿好，用锯子内外锯齐的石块建成的。根基也都是用贵重的大石块；有长四公尺的，也有长三公尺半的。上面有按着尺寸凿好的贵重石块和香柏木。大院的周围有凿好的石头三层，香柏木一层，与耶和华的内院和殿廊一样。
