May the Lord give you discretion and understanding when he puts you in command over Israel, so that you may keep the law of the Lord your God.

May the Lord give you good sense. May he give you understanding when he makes you king over Israel. Then you will keep the law of the Lord your God.

Only, may the Lord grant you discretion and understanding, that when he gives you charge over Israel you may keep the law of the Lord your God.

And may the Lord give you wisdom and understanding, that you may obey the Law of the Lord your God as you rule over Israel.

Above all, may the LORD give you insight and understanding when he puts you in charge of Israel so that you may keep the law of the LORD your God.

上帝兮、維彼王子、今繼厥位、爾訓以道、俾秉大公兮、

蓋我將賜爾口才智慧、使諸仇不能辯駁敵對、

我守其誡、則我識主、我自知之、

所羅門王、除法老女之外、內寵甚多、皆異族之女、即屬於摩押、亞捫、以東、西頓、赫人者、論及異族之人、耶和華曾諭以色列族云、爾與彼婚姻勿相通、恐其誘爾心從他上帝、然所羅門戀愛此女、娶列王之公主、充其後宮、凡七百人、外此又有嬪妃三百、咸蠱惑其心。所羅門年既老、諸妃迷眩其衷懷、使不一心誠恪、從其上帝耶和華、效父大闢所為、反從事他上帝、即西頓人之上帝亞大綠、亞捫人可惡之物密君、不效父大闢、恆從耶和華、乃行惡於耶和華前、在耶路撒冷相對之山、築崇邱、奉摩押人可惡之物基抹、亞捫人可惡之物摩洛、亦從娶於異族之嬪妃、焚香獻祭、奉厥上帝。以色列族之上帝耶和華、見所羅門之中心、不從己命、則怒、蓋耶和華曾二次顯現於所羅門、命其不可從他上帝、乃所羅門不遵其命、

爾守此法、則可為智、四方之民聞此禮儀、必曰斯民昌大、智慧俱備、
