願主賦爾聰明智慧、使爾治以色列、謹守主爾天主之律法、

但愿耶和华赐你聪明智慧，好治理以色列国，遵行耶和华你神的律法。

願耶和華賦爾睿智聰明、使爾受命治以色列、守爾上帝耶和華之律、

願耶和華賦爾智慧、恪守其律例、用治以色列族。

May the Lord give you discretion and understanding when he puts you in command over Israel, so that you may keep the law of the Lord your God.

May the Lord give you good sense. May he give you understanding when he makes you king over Israel. Then you will keep the law of the Lord your God.

Only, may the Lord grant you discretion and understanding, that when he gives you charge over Israel you may keep the law of the Lord your God.

And may the Lord give you wisdom and understanding, that you may obey the Law of the Lord your God as you rule over Israel.

Above all, may the LORD give you insight and understanding when he puts you in charge of Israel so that you may keep the law of the LORD your God.

主之民眾多、孰能判斷其間乎、求主以智慧賜僕、能辨是非、為民折中、所羅門因求此、主悅其言、天主謂之曰、爾既求此、不求壽、不求富、亦不求勝敵、但求智慧、俾可聽訟、我則允爾所求、以聰明智慧之心賜爾、爾之前未有如爾者、爾之後亦無如爾者、

祈主賜我智慧聰明、能於斯民前出入、不然、主民眾多、孰能判斷其間乎、

達者之智、在明己道、愚者之拙、在乎自欺、

若爾中有人智慧不足、當求天主、天主乃厚賜人而不責人者、必賜所求、

因天主賜人智慧、知識明哲、皆由天主之口而出、主為正直者存福祉、福祉或作救恩行止無過者、主護之如盾、

求天主以主之判斷賜教於王、以主之公義、賜示於王之子、

蓋我將賜爾以口才智慧、使爾諸仇不能辯駁抵拒、

我若守主之誡、則可自知我識主、

所羅門王除法老女外、寵愛異族之女甚多、即摩押女、以東女、西頓女、赫人女、論此諸族、主曾諭以色列人曰、爾勿與彼往來相通、原文作勿入其中亦不容彼入爾中恐其誘惑爾心、信從他神、然所羅門戀愛此異族之女、所羅門有妃七百、嬪三百、咸誘惑其心、所羅門年既老、妃嬪誘惑其心、信從他神、不效其父大衛誠心順服主其天主、所羅門信從西頓人之女神亞斯他錄、又信從亞捫人可憎之物米勒公、所羅門行惡於主前、不效其父大衛盡心順從主、當時所羅門在耶路撒冷相對之山、為摩押可憎之物基抹、又為亞捫人可憎之物摩洛即米勒公築邱壇、所娶異族之妃嬪、皆焚香獻祭於其神、所羅門亦為其神築邱壇、主怒所羅門、因其心離主以色列之天主、主曾二次顯現於所羅門、又為此事警戒之、勿信從他神、乃所羅門不遵主之所命、

當謹守遵行、此即爾之智慧明哲在列邦眾民前、彼聞此律例、必曰、斯民昌大、智慧明哲俱備、
