May the Lord give you discretion and understanding when he puts you in command over Israel, so that you may keep the law of the Lord your God.

May the Lord give you good sense. May he give you understanding when he makes you king over Israel. Then you will keep the law of the Lord your God.

Only, may the Lord grant you discretion and understanding, that when he gives you charge over Israel you may keep the law of the Lord your God.

And may the Lord give you wisdom and understanding, that you may obey the Law of the Lord your God as you rule over Israel.

Above all, may the LORD give you insight and understanding when he puts you in charge of Israel so that you may keep the law of the LORD your God.

誰能鞫此眾民、祈賜爾僕智慧之心、為民折中、而辨是非、所羅門求此、主悅其言、上帝曰、因爾求此、不求壽富、亦不求滅敵之命、惟求智慧以聽訟、我依爾所求、以聰明智慧之心錫爾、致爾之前、未有如爾者、爾之後、亦未有如爾者、

祈賜我聰明智慧、使於民前出入、斯民若是之多、孰能聽其訟乎、

哲人之智、在識己道、蠢者之愚、在其自欺、

爾中若有缺於智者、當求上帝、彼博施於眾、不責乎人、必賜之焉、

蓋耶和華錫予智慧、知識通明、出於其口、為正直者蓄真智、為行端者之盾干、

上帝歟、以爾讞才賜王、以爾公義賜王子兮、

蓋我將賜爾才辯智慧、爾諸仇不能抵拒辯駁也、

我若守其誡、則自知識之也、

所羅門王寵法老女、此外、又寵異族之女甚多、即摩押亞捫以東西頓赫人之女、耶和華曾諭以色列人云、勿與彼族往來相通、彼必誘惑爾心、俾從其神、然所羅門戀愛其女、公主為后妃者七百、嬪嬙三百、皆蠱惑其心、所羅門年邁時、后妃誘之、附於他神、不專心從其上帝耶和華、如父大衛、乃從西頓人之女神亞斯他錄、及亞捫人可憎之神米勒公、所羅門行耶和華所惡、不效其父大衛、盡心從耶和華、在耶路撒冷東之山、為摩押可憎之神基抹、與亞捫人可憎之神摩洛築壇、為其異族后妃亦行此、彼皆焚香獻祭與其神、○耶和華怒所羅門、因其心轉離以色列之上帝耶和華、二次見於彼者、耶和華命其不可從事他神、彼乃不遵其命、

守之行之、是為爾之智慧通達、在列邦民前、彼聞此典章、必曰、此大國、乃智慧通達之民也、
