David then said,“ This is the place where the temple of the LORD God will be, along with the altar for burnt sacrifices for Israel.”

大衛吩咐人召集住在以色列地的外族人，又派石匠開鑿石頭，要建造神的殿。

大衛吩咐了人招聚以色列地的寄居者，又派立了石匠鑿石頭、砍削好好，要建造上帝的殿。

大衛曰、此乃耶和華上帝之室、以色列燔祭之壇、○

大闢曰、耶和華上帝之殿、以色列族燔祭之壇、宜建於此。

大衛曰、此主天主之殿、此以色列人獻火焚祭之祭臺、或作主天主之殿以色列人獻火焚祭之祭臺俱當在此○

Then David said,“ The house of the Lord God is to be here, and also the altar of burnt offering for Israel.”

David announced,“ The house of the Lord God will be built here. Israel’s altar for burnt offerings will also be here.”

Then David said,“ Here shall be the house of the Lord God and here the altar of burnt offering for Israel.”

Then David said,“ This will be the location for the Temple of the Lord God and the place of the altar for Israel’s burnt offerings!”

Then David said,“ This is the house of the LORD God, and this is the altar of burnt offering for Israel.”

Then David said,“ This is the house of the Lord God, and this is the altar of burnt offering for Israel.”

Then David said,“ This is the house of the Lord God, and this is the altar of burnt offering for Israel.”

Then David said, This is the house of Jehovah God, and this is the altar of burnt- offering for Israel.

Then David said,“ This is the house of the Lord God, and this is the altar of burnt offering for Israel.”

Then David said, This[ is] the house of the LORD God, and this[ is] the altar of the burnt offering for Israel.

Then David said,“ This is the house of Yahweh God, and this is the altar of burnt offering for Israel.”

Solomon began building the LORD’s temple in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, where the LORD had appeared to his father David. This was the place that David prepared at the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.

So the LORD’s messenger told Gad to instruct David to go up and build an altar for the LORD on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.So David went up as Gad instructed him to do in the name of the LORD.While Ornan was threshing wheat, he turned and saw the messenger, and he and his four sons hid themselves.When David came to Ornan, Ornan looked and saw David; he came out from the threshing floor and bowed to David with his face to the ground.David said to Ornan,“ Sell me the threshing floor so I can build on it an altar for the LORD– I’ll pay top price– so that the plague may be removed from the people.”Ornan told David,“ You can have it! My master, the king, may do what he wants. Look, I am giving you the oxen for burnt sacrifices, the threshing sledges for wood, and the wheat for an offering. I give it all to you.”King David replied to Ornan,“ No, I insist on buying it for top price. I will not offer to the LORD what belongs to you or offer a burnt sacrifice that cost me nothing.So David bought the place from Ornan for 600 pieces of gold.David built there an altar to the LORD and offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings. He called out to the LORD, and the LORD responded by sending fire from the sky and consuming the burnt sacrifice on the altar.The LORD ordered the messenger to put his sword back into its sheath.At that time, when David saw that the LORD responded to him at the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite, he sacrificed there.

He was afraid and said,“ What an awesome place this is! This is nothing else than the house of God! This is the gate of heaven!”

Perhaps you will tell me,‘ We are trusting in the LORD our God.’ But Hezekiah is the one who eliminated his high places and altars and then told the people of Judah and Jerusalem,‘ You must worship at this altar in Jerusalem.’

Certainly the LORD has chosen Zion; he decided to make it his home.He said,“ This will be my resting place forever; I will live here, for I have chosen it.

Hezekiah is the one who eliminated the LORD’s high places and altars and then told Judah and Jerusalem,“ At one altar you must worship and offer sacrifices.”

He abandoned the sanctuary at Shiloh, the tent where he lived among men.

So Gad went to David that day and told him,“ Go up and build an altar for the LORD on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.”

He told David,‘ Since the day I brought my people out of the land of Egypt, I have not chosen a city from all the tribes of Israel to build a temple in which to live. Nor did I choose a man as leader of my people Israel.But now I have chosen Jerusalem as a place to live, and I have chosen David to lead my people Israel.’

Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and you people say that the place where people must worship is in Jerusalem.”Jesus said to her,“ Believe me, woman, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem.You people worship what you do not know. We worship what we know, because salvation is from the Jews.

But you must seek only the place he chooses from all your tribes to establish his name as his place of residence, and you must go there.And there you must take your burnt offerings, your sacrifices, your tithes, the personal offerings you have prepared, your votive offerings, your freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herds and flocks.Both you and your families must feast there before the LORD your God and rejoice in all the output of your labor with which he has blessed you.

He rejected the tent of Joseph; he did not choose the tribe of Ephraim.He chose the tribe of Judah, and Mount Zion, which he loves.He made his sanctuary as enduring as the heavens above; as secure as the earth, which he established permanently.

Then you must come to the place the LORD your God chooses for his name to reside, bringing everything I am commanding you– your burnt offerings, sacrifices, tithes, the personal offerings you have prepared, and all your choice votive offerings which you devote to him.
