Then David said, This is the house of Jehovah God, and this is the altar of burnt- offering for Israel.

大衛吩咐人召集住在以色列地的外族人，又派石匠開鑿石頭，要建造神的殿。

大衛吩咐了人招聚以色列地的寄居者，又派立了石匠鑿石頭、砍削好好，要建造上帝的殿。

大衛曰、此乃耶和華上帝之室、以色列燔祭之壇、○

大闢曰、耶和華上帝之殿、以色列族燔祭之壇、宜建於此。

大衛曰、此主天主之殿、此以色列人獻火焚祭之祭臺、或作主天主之殿以色列人獻火焚祭之祭臺俱當在此○

Then David said,“ The house of the Lord God is to be here, and also the altar of burnt offering for Israel.”

David announced,“ The house of the Lord God will be built here. Israel’s altar for burnt offerings will also be here.”

Then David said,“ Here shall be the house of the Lord God and here the altar of burnt offering for Israel.”

Then David said,“ This will be the location for the Temple of the Lord God and the place of the altar for Israel’s burnt offerings!”

Then David said,“ This is the house of the LORD God, and this is the altar of burnt offering for Israel.”

Then David said,“ This is the house of the Lord God, and this is the altar of burnt offering for Israel.”

Then David said,“ This is the house of the Lord God, and this is the altar of burnt offering for Israel.”

Then David said,“ This is the house of the Lord God, and this is the altar of burnt offering for Israel.”

Then David said, This[ is] the house of the LORD God, and this[ is] the altar of the burnt offering for Israel.

David then said,“ This is the place where the temple of the LORD God will be, along with the altar for burnt sacrifices for Israel.”

Then David said,“ This is the house of Yahweh God, and this is the altar of burnt offering for Israel.”

Then Solomon began to build the house of Jehovah at Jerusalem on mount Moriah, where Jehovah appeared unto David his father, which he made ready in the place that David had appointed, in the threshing- floor of Ornan the Jebusite.

Then the angel of Jehovah commanded Gad to say to David, that David should go up, and rear an altar unto Jehovah in the threshing- floor of Ornan the Jebusite.And David went up at the saying of Gad, which he spake in the name of Jehovah.And Ornan turned back, and saw the angel; and his four sons that were with him hid themselves. Now Ornan was threshing wheat.And as David came to Ornan, Ornan looked and saw David, and went out of the threshing- floor, and bowed himself to David with his face to the ground.Then David said to Ornan, Give me the place of this threshing- floor, that I may build thereon an altar unto Jehovah: for the full price shalt thou give it me, that the plague may be stayed from the people.And Ornan said unto David, Take it to thee, and let my lord the king do that which is good in his eyes: lo, I give thee the oxen for burnt- offerings, and the threshing instruments for wood, and the wheat for the meal- offering; I give it all.And king David said to Ornan, Nay; but I will verily buy it for the full price: for I will not take that which is thine for Jehovah, nor offer a burnt- offering without cost.So David gave to Ornan for the place six hundred shekels of gold by weight.And David built there an altar unto Jehovah, and offered burnt- offerings and peace- offerings, and called upon Jehovah; and he answered him from heaven by fire upon the altar of burnt- offering.And Jehovah commanded the angel; and he put up his sword again into the sheath thereof.At that time, when David saw that Jehovah had answered him in the threshing- floor of Ornan the Jebusite, then he sacrificed there.

And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.

But if ye say unto me, We trust in Jehovah our God; is not that he, whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah hath taken away, and hath said to Judah and to Jerusalem, Ye shall worship before this altar in Jerusalem?

For Jehovah hath chosen Zion; He hath desired it for his habitation.This is my resting- place for ever: Here will I dwell; for I have desired it.

Hath not the same Hezekiah taken away his high places and his altars, and commanded Judah and Jerusalem, saying, Ye shall worship before one altar, and upon it shall ye burn incense?

So that he forsook the tabernacle of Shiloh, The tent which he placed among men;

And Gad came that day to David, and said unto him, Go up, rear an altar unto Jehovah in the threshing- floor of Araunah the Jebusite.

Since the day that I brought forth my people out of the land of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel to build a house in, that my name might be there; neither chose I any man to be prince over my people Israel:but I have chosen Jerusalem, that my name might be there, and have chosen David to be over my people Israel.

Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when neither in this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, shall ye worship the Father.Ye worship that which ye know not: we worship that which we know; for salvation is from the Jews.

But unto the place which Jehovah your God shall choose out of all your tribes, to put his name there, even unto his habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt come;and thither ye shall bring your burnt- offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and the heave- offering of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill- offerings, and the firstlings of your herd and of your flock:and there ye shall eat before Jehovah your God, and ye shall rejoice in all that ye put your hand unto, ye and your households, wherein Jehovah thy God hath blessed thee.

Moreover he refused the tent of Joseph, And chose not the tribe of Ephraim,But chose the tribe of Judah, The mount Zion which he loved.And he built his sanctuary like the heights, Like the earth which he hath established for ever.

then it shall come to pass that to the place which Jehovah your God shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there, thither shall ye bring all that I command you: your burnt- offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the heave- offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye vow unto Jehovah.
