So David said to Joab and the commanders of the army,“ Go, number Israel, from Beersheba to Dan, and bring me a report, that I may know their number.”

So David said to Joab and the commanders of the troops,“ Go and count the Israelites from Beersheba to Dan. Then report back to me so that I may know how many there are.”

So David said to Joab and the commanders of the troops,“ Go! Count the men of Israel from Beersheba all the way to Dan. Report back to me. Then I’ll know how many there are.”

So David said to Joab and the commanders of the army,“ Take a census of all the people of Israel— from Beersheba in the south to Dan in the north— and bring me a report so I may know how many there are.”

So David said to Joab and the commanders of the troops,“ Go and count Israel from Beer-sheba to Dan and bring a report to me so I can know their number.”

So David said to Joab and to the leaders of the people,“ Go, count Israel from Beersheba to Dan, and bring me word so that I may know their number.”

And David said to Joab and to the princes of the people, Go, number Israel from Beer- sheba even to Dan; and bring me word, that I may know the sum of them.

So David said to Joab and the commanders of the troops,“ Go and count Israel from Beer-sheba to Dan and bring a report to me so I can know their number.”

And David said to Joab and to the rulers of the people, Go, number Israel from Beersheba even to Dan; and bring the number of them to me, that I may know[ it].

David told Joab and the leaders of the army,“ Go, count the number of warriors from Beer Sheba to Dan. Then bring back a report to me so I may know how many we have.”

David said to Joab and to the princes of the people,“ Go, count Israel from Beersheba even to Dan; and bring me word, that I may know how many there are.”

David did not count those below twenty years of age, for the Lord had promised to make Israel as many as the stars of heaven.Joab the son of Zeruiah began to count, but did not finish. Yet wrath came upon Israel for this, and the number was not entered in the chronicles of King David.

So the Lord sent a pestilence on Israel from the morning until the appointed time. And there died of the people from Dan to Beersheba 70,000 men.

One’s pride will bring him low, but he who is lowly in spirit will obtain honor.

And all Israel from Dan to Beersheba knew that Samuel was established as a prophet of the Lord.

and when your herds and flocks multiply and your silver and gold is multiplied and all that you have is multiplied,then your heart be lifted up, and you forget the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery,who led you through the great and terrifying wilderness, with its fiery serpents and scorpions and thirsty ground where there was no water, who brought you water out of the flinty rock,who fed you in the wilderness with manna that your fathers did not know, that he might humble you and test you, to do you good in the end.Beware lest you say in your heart,‘ My power and the might of my hand have gotten me this wealth.’

Then all the people of Israel came out, from Dan to Beersheba, including the land of Gilead, and the congregation assembled as one man to the Lord at Mizpah.

So they decreed to make a proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beersheba to Dan, that the people should come and keep the Passover to the Lord, the God of Israel, at Jerusalem, for they had not kept it as often as prescribed.

But my counsel is that all Israel be gathered to you, from Dan to Beersheba, as the sand by the sea for multitude, and that you go to battle in person.

So the king said to Joab, the commander of the army, who was with him,“ Go through all the tribes of Israel, from Dan to Beersheba, and number the people, that I may know the number of the people.”But Joab said to the king,“ May the Lord your God add to the people a hundred times as many as they are, while the eyes of my lord the king still see it, but why does my lord the king delight in this thing?”But the king’s word prevailed against Joab and the commanders of the army. So Joab and the commanders of the army went out from the presence of the king to number the people of Israel.

And Judah and Israel lived in safety, from Dan even to Beersheba, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, all the days of Solomon.

So to keep me from becoming conceited because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, a thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to harass me, to keep me from becoming conceited.

to transfer the kingdom from the house of Saul and set up the throne of David over Israel and over Judah, from Dan to Beersheba.”

But Hezekiah did not make return according to the benefit done to him, for his heart was proud. Therefore wrath came upon him and Judah and Jerusalem.But Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart, both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the wrath of the Lord did not come upon them in the days of Hezekiah.
