大闢告約押、與民長曰、往核以色列民數、自但至別是巴、反而告我。

So David said to Joab and the commanders of the troops,“ Go and count the Israelites from Beersheba to Dan. Then report back to me so that I may know how many there are.”

So David said to Joab and the commanders of the troops,“ Go! Count the men of Israel from Beersheba all the way to Dan. Report back to me. Then I’ll know how many there are.”

So David said to Joab and the commanders of the army,“ Go, number Israel, from Beersheba to Dan, and bring me a report, that I may know their number.”

So David said to Joab and the commanders of the army,“ Take a census of all the people of Israel— from Beersheba in the south to Dan in the north— and bring me a report so I may know how many there are.”

So David said to Joab and the commanders of the troops,“ Go and count Israel from Beer-sheba to Dan and bring a report to me so I can know their number.”

So David said to Joab and to the leaders of the people,“ Go, count Israel from Beersheba to Dan, and bring me word so that I may know their number.”

David told Joab and the leaders of the army,“ Go, count the number of warriors from Beer Sheba to Dan. Then bring back a report to me so I may know how many we have.”

David said to Joab and to the princes of the people,“ Go, count Israel from Beersheba even to Dan; and bring me word, that I may know how many there are.”

以色列人二十岁以下的，大卫都没有登记他们的数目，因为耶和华曾经说过要增添以色列人的数目，好像天上的星那样多。洗鲁雅的儿子约押开始数点，但还没有完成，为了这事耶和华的忿怒就临到以色列人身上，所以以色列的人数没有记在大卫王的年录上。

于是耶和华降瘟疫在以色列地，从早晨直到所定的时间；从但到别是巴，众民中死了七万人。

人的骄傲必使他卑微；心里谦卑的，必得尊荣。

从但到别是巴，以色列人都知道撒母耳被耶和华确立为先知。

你的牛羊加多，你的金银增添，你所有的一切都增加了，那时，你就心高气傲，忘记了耶和华你的神，就是把你从埃及地，从为奴之家领出来的那一位。他引导你走过那大而可畏的旷野，那里有火蛇，有蝎子，有干旱无水之地；他曾经为你使水从坚硬的磐石中流出来。他在旷野把你的列祖不认识的吗哪赐给你吃，是要使你受苦，要试炼你，使你终久得到福乐；恐怕你心里说：‘这财富是我的力量，是我手的能力使我得着的。’

于是以色列众人都出来，从但到别是巴，以及基列地的众人，都在米斯巴耶和华面前聚集起来如同一人。

于是下了命令，通告全以色列，从别是巴直到但，叫人民来耶路撒冷守逾越节记念耶和华以色列的神，因为照着所记的定例举行这节的人不多。

因此，我建议把以色列众人，从但到别是巴，都聚集到你这里来，好像海边的沙那样多，然后你亲自率领他们上战场。

王就对约押和跟随他的军官说：“你们走遍以色列各支派，从但到别是巴，数点人民，我好知道人民的数目。”约押回答王：“无论人民有多少，愿耶和华你的神再增加一百倍，又愿我主我王亲眼看见。不过，我主我王为什么喜欢这事呢？”但是王的命令约押和众军官不敢不从。于是约押和众军官从王面前出去，数点以色列的人民。

所罗门在世的日子，犹大和以色列人从但到别是巴，都各在自己的葡萄树下和无花果树下安然居住。

又因为我所得的启示太大，恐怕会高抬自己，所以就有一根刺加在我的身上，就是撒但的差役来攻击我，免得我高抬自己。

希西家却没有照着他蒙受的恩惠报答耶和华；因为他心高气傲，所以耶和华的忿怒临到他，以及犹大和耶路撒冷的人身上。但希西家因为自己心高气傲而谦卑下来，他和耶路撒冷的居民都谦卑下来，因此耶和华的忿怒，在希西家在世的日子，没有临到他们身上。
