three years of famine, three months of being swept away before your enemies, with their swords overtaking you, or three days of the sword of the Lord— days of plague in the land, with the angel of the Lord ravaging every part of Israel.’ Now then, decide how I should answer the one who sent me.”

You can have three years when there will not be enough food in the land. You can have three months when your enemies will sweep you away. They will catch up with you. They will destroy you with their swords. Or you can have three days when the sword of the Lord will punish you. That means there would be three days of plague in the land. My angel would strike down people in every part of Israel.’ So take your pick. Tell me how to answer the one who sent me.”

大卫在位年间有饥荒，一连三年，大卫求问耶和华，耶和华说：“扫罗和他家犯了流人血之罪，因为他杀死了基遍人。”

被刀剑刺杀的胜过因饥饿而死的；饥饿者由于缺乏田里的出产就消瘦而亡。

“你若不听从耶和华—你上帝的话，不谨守遵行他的一切诫命律例，就是我今日所吩咐你的，这一切的诅咒必临到你身上，追随你：

因为耶和华要走遍埃及，施行击杀，他看见血在门楣上和两边的门框上，耶和华就必逾越那门，不让灭命者进你们的家，施行击杀。

我要使刀剑临到你们，报复你们的背约。你们若被赶入城中，我要降瘟疫在你们中间，把你们交在仇敌手中。我要断绝你们粮食的供应，使十个女人用一个烤炉给你们烤饼，按配给的定量秤给你们。你们要吃，却吃不饱。“如果这样，你们还不听从我，行事与我作对，我就要向你们发烈怒，行事与你们作对，因你们的罪，加重七倍惩罚你们。你们要吃你们儿子的肉，也要吃你们女儿的肉。

耶和华要用痨病、热病、发炎、高烧、刀剑、焚风和霉烂攻击你；这些要追赶你，直到你灭亡。

当夜，耶和华的使者出去，在亚述营中杀了十八万五千人。清早有人起来，看哪，都是死尸。

以利沙曾对他救活的孩子的母亲说：“你和你的全家要起身，往你可住的地方去住，因为耶和华已令饥荒降在这地七年。”

我对你们说实话，在以利亚的时候，天闭塞了三年六个月，遍地有大饥荒，那时，以色列中有许多寡妇，

上帝派遣使者去毁灭耶路撒冷，刚要毁灭的时候，耶和华看见就改变心意，不降这灾了。他吩咐那灭城的天使说：“够了，住手吧！”耶和华的使者正站在耶布斯人阿珥楠的禾场那里。大卫举目，看见耶和华的使者站在天和地之间，手里有拔出来的刀，伸在耶路撒冷以上。大卫和长老都披上麻布，脸伏于地。

于是迦得来到大卫那里告诉他，问他：“你要国中有七年的饥荒呢？或是你在敌人面前逃跑，被追赶三个月呢？或是在你国中有三日的瘟疫呢？现在你要考虑思量，我怎样去回覆那差我来的。”大卫对迦得说：“我很为难。我们宁愿落在耶和华的手里，因为他有丰盛的怜悯；我不愿落在人的手里。”

“耶和华必使你在仇敌面前溃败。你从一条路去攻击他们，必从七条路逃跑。地上万国必因你而惊骇。

希律不归荣耀给上帝，所以主的使者立刻击打他，他被虫咬，就断了气。

耶和华的刀剑哪，你要到几时才止息呢？要入鞘，安静不动。

他们必吃你牲畜所生的和你土地所产的，直到你被除灭。你的五谷、新酒和新的油，以及牛犊、羔羊，他都不给你留下，直到使你灭亡。他们必在你的各城围困你，直到你在全地所倚靠、高大坚固的城墙都倒塌。他们必在耶和华—你上帝所赐给你全地的各城围困你。

此后，我看见四位天使站在地的四角，执掌地上四方的风，使风不吹在地上、海上和各种树上。我又看见另有一位天使从日出之地上来，拿着永生上帝的印。他向那得到权柄能伤害地和海的四位天使大声喊着，说：“你们不可伤害地、海和树林，等我们在我们上帝众仆人的额上盖了印。”

你们所惧怕的刀剑在埃及地必追上你们，你们所惧怕的饥荒在埃及要紧紧跟随你们，你们必死在那里。

至于你们幸存的人，我要使他们在敌人之地心中惊慌，甚至风吹落叶的声音也把他们吓跑。他们要逃避，像人逃避刀剑，虽无人追赶，却要跌倒。虽然无人追赶，他们却要彼此绊倒，像逃避刀剑一样。你们在仇敌面前必站立不住。

住在基列的提斯比人以利亚对亚哈说：“我指着所事奉永生的耶和华—以色列的上帝起誓，这几年我若不祷告，必不降露水，也不下雨。”

我要向你们变脸，使你们败在仇敌的面前。恨恶你们的必管辖你们；无人追赶，你们却要逃跑。

耶和华必攻击你，使你膝上腿上，从脚掌到头顶，都长满了毒疮，无法医治。

或者我叫瘟疫流行那地，把我的愤怒带着血倾在其中，好使人与牲畜从其中剪除；虽有挪亚、但以理、约伯在那里，主耶和华说：我指着我的永生起誓，他们不能救儿子女儿，只能因自己的义救自己的命。“主耶和华如此说：我若将这四样大灾，就是刀剑、饥荒、恶兽、瘟疫降在耶路撒冷，将人与牲畜从其中剪除，岂不是更严重吗？

灭命的来到旷野中一切光秃的高地；耶和华的刀从地这边直到地那边，尽行杀灭，凡血肉之躯都不得平安。

耶和华必以火与刀审判凡有血肉之躯的，被耶和华所杀的很多。

耶和华必用埃及人的疮、溃疡、癣和疥攻击你，使你不得医治。

也不怕黑夜流行的瘟疫，或是午间灭人的灾害。

你们要吃储存的陈粮，又要为新粮清理陈粮。

世代的终结也要这样：天使要出来，把恶人从义人中分别出来，丢在火炉里，在那里要哀哭切齿了。”
