You can have three years when there will not be enough food in the land. You can have three months when your enemies will sweep you away. They will catch up with you. They will destroy you with their swords. Or you can have three days when the sword of the Lord will punish you. That means there would be three days of plague in the land. My angel would strike down people in every part of Israel.’ So take your pick. Tell me how to answer the one who sent me.”

“祂要使你们遭受痨病、热症、疟疾、炙热、刀剑、干旱和霉烂之灾，直到你们灭亡。

当晚，耶和华的天使到亚述营中杀了十八万五千人。人们清早起来，发现到处是尸体。

以利沙曾经救活了一位书念妇人的儿子。他对那妇人说：“你和家人要离开这里去别处寄居，因为耶和华已决定使这里遭受七年饥荒。”

事实上，在以利亚先知的时代，天干旱无雨达三年半之久，遍地有大饥荒。那时，以色列国有许多寡妇，

上帝差遣天使去毁灭耶路撒冷。天使正要毁灭的时候，耶和华见了就心生怜悯，对施行毁灭的天使说：“够了，住手吧！”当时，耶和华的天使正站在耶布斯人阿珥楠的麦场上。大卫举目看见耶和华的天使站在天地之间，手握着已出鞘的刀，指向耶路撒冷。大卫和众长老都身披麻衣，脸伏于地。

迦得就来见大卫，对他说：“你愿意国内有七年饥荒呢？还是被敌人追杀三个月呢？还是国内发生三天瘟疫呢？请你考虑好后告诉我，我好回复那差我来的。”大卫说：“我实在为难！不过我宁愿落在耶和华的手中，也不愿落在人的手中，因为耶和华有无限的怜悯。”

“祂要使你们被敌人击败、溃不成军、四散逃命，下场令天下万国惊惧。

希律没有把荣耀归给上帝，主的天使立刻惩罚他，他当场被虫子咬死了。

你们大喊，‘耶和华的刀啊，你何时才停下来呢？求你入鞘吧！停下来吧！’

他们要吃光你们的牛羊、五谷、新酒和油，直到消灭你们。在你们的上帝耶和华所赐给你们的土地上，他们要把你们围困在各个城邑中，直到你们所依赖的高大坚固的城墙都倒塌。

这些事情之后，我看见四位天使分别站在地的四个角落控制着四面的风，使风不再吹向地面、海洋和树木。我又看见一位天使从东方日出之地上来，手里拿着永活上帝的印。他对那领受权柄能伤害地和海的四位天使大声说：“我们还没在上帝的奴仆额上盖印之前，你们不可伤害地、海和树木。”

你们所害怕的战争和饥荒必紧紧地跟着你们。你们必死在埃及。

“我要使你们当中的那些幸存者在敌国心惊胆战，过着风声鹤唳、惶恐不安的生活。即使无人追赶，他们也将仓皇逃命，互相绊倒，如同躲避刀剑一样。你们必无力抵挡敌人。

有一位先知名叫以利亚，是基列的提斯比人。他对亚哈说：“我凭我事奉的以色列的上帝——永活的耶和华起誓，如果我不祷告，这几年必没有雨水和甘露。”

我要严惩你们，使你们败在敌人手下；你们要被那些恨你们的人统治，即使没有人追赶，你们也要逃命。

“耶和华要使你们从头到脚长满毒疮，无药可治。

倘若我叫瘟疫在那里肆虐，发烈怒毁灭那里的人和牲畜，纵然挪亚、但以理和约伯在那里，我凭我的永恒起誓，他们也不能救自己的儿女，只能因义行而自己得救。这是主耶和华说的。“主耶和华说，‘我要把战祸、饥荒、猛兽和瘟疫这四大刑罚降在耶路撒冷，毁灭人和牲畜。

杀戮者已来到旷野中光秃的山岭，耶和华使刀剑横扫全境，无人幸免。

因为耶和华要用火和剑审判世人，杀死许多人。

“祂要使你们患埃及的脓疮、肿瘤和癣疥，无药可治。

或黑暗中横行的瘟疫，或正午肆虐的灾难。

你们存粮很多，甚至要搬出陈粮来储存新粮。

世界末日的时候也是这样。天使必把恶人从义人中拣出来，丢在火炉里，让恶人在那里哀哭切齿。
