“ Go and say to David,‘ This is what the Lord says: I will give you three choices. Choose one of these punishments, and I will inflict it on you.’”

“ Go and tell David,‘ This is what the Lord says: I am giving you three options. Choose one of them for me to carry out against you.’”

“ Go and tell David,‘ The Lord says,“ I could punish you in three different ways. Choose one of them for me to punish you with.” ’ ”

“ Go and say to David,‘ Thus says the Lord, Three things I offer you; choose one of them, that I may do it to you.’”

“ Go and say to David,‘ This is what the LORD says: I am offering you three choices. Choose one of them for yourself, and I will do it to you.’”

“ Go and speak to David, saying,‘ This is what the Lord says:“ I extend to you three choices; choose for yourself one of them, which I will do to you.” ’ ”

“ Go and tell David, saying,‘ Thus says the Lord:“ I offer you three things; choose one of them for yourself, that I may do it to you.”’”

Go and speak unto David, saying, Thus saith Jehovah, I offer thee three things: choose thee one of them, that I may do it unto thee.

“ Go and say to David,‘ This is what the Lord says: I am offering you three choices. Choose one of them for yourself, and I will do it to you.’”

“ Go, tell David,‘ This is what the LORD says:“ I am offering you three forms of judgment from which to choose. Pick one of them.”’”

“ Go and speak to David, saying,‘ Yahweh says,“ I offer you three things. Choose one of them, that I may do it to you.”’”

For they hated knowledge and chose not to fear the Lord.They rejected my advice and paid no attention when I corrected them.Therefore, they must eat the bitter fruit of living their own way, choking on their own schemes.

I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be diligent and turn from your indifference.

But if you refuse to serve the Lord, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord.”

But the Lord said to Moses and Aaron,“ Because you did not trust me enough to demonstrate my holiness to the people of Israel, you will not lead them into the land I am giving them!”

From this time on, your family will live by the sword because you have despised me by taking Uriah’s wife to be your own.“ This is what the Lord says: Because of what you have done, I will cause your own household to rebel against you. I will give your wives to another man before your very eyes, and he will go to bed with them in public view.You did it secretly, but I will make this happen to you openly in the sight of all Israel.”

For the Lord corrects those he loves, just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights.

He cried out to the man of God from Judah,“ This is what the Lord says: You have defied the word of the Lord and have disobeyed the command the Lord your God gave you.You came back to this place and ate and drank where he told you not to eat or drink. Because of this, your body will not be buried in the grave of your ancestors.”
