Did his servants not come to you to search and to overthrow and to spy out the land?”Therefore Hanun took David’s servants, shaved them, and cut off their garments in the middle, at their buttocks, and sent them away.Then some went and told David about the men; and he sent to meet them, because the men were greatly ashamed. And the king said,“ Wait at Jericho until your beards have grown, and then return.”

And the leaders of Succoth said,“ Are the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna now in your hand, that we should give bread to your army?”So Gideon said,“ For this cause, when the Lord has delivered Zebah and Zalmunna into my hand, then I will tear your flesh with the thorns of the wilderness and with briers!”

Your hand will find all Your enemies; Your right hand will find those who hate You.You shall make them as a fiery oven in the time of Your anger; The Lord shall swallow them up in His wrath, And the fire shall devour them.
