疏割的首領說：『是不是西巴和撒慕拿的手掌現在已在你手中、我們就該將餅給你的軍隊喫呢？』基甸說：『好，永恆主將西巴和撒慕拿交在我手那時候，我就要把你們的肉跟野地裏的荊條和枳棘踹在一起。』

你的手必搜出你一切仇敵，你右手必痛擊恨你的人。你現出怒臉時，就使他們如炎熱的火爐；永恆主必用他的義怒吞滅他們；那火必把他們燒盡。

他們的子孫於他們過往之後在此地剩下來、以色列人不能盡行毁滅歸神的——這些人、所羅門都徵派下來、充作苦工奴隸；直到今日還是如此。

現在你們是被咒詛的了；你們中間必不斷有人做奴隸、給我的上帝的殿做撿柴打水的人。』
