疏割人的首領回答說：「西巴和撒慕拿已經在你手裏，你使我們將餅給你的軍兵嗎？」基甸說：「耶和華將西巴和撒慕拿交在我手之後，我就用野地的荊條和枳棘打傷你們。」

你的手要搜出你的一切仇敵；你的右手要搜出那些恨你的人。你發怒的時候，要使他們如在炎熱的火爐中。耶和華要在他的震怒中吞滅他們；那火要把他們燒盡了。

就是以色列人不能滅盡的，所羅門挑取他們的後裔作服苦的奴僕，直到今日。

現在你們是被咒詛的！你們中間的人必斷不了作奴僕，為我神的殿作劈柴挑水的人。」
