疏割人的首領回答：“西巴和撒慕拿現在不是已經在你的手裡嗎？我們應該把餅送給你的軍隊吃嗎？”基甸說：“好吧，耶和華把西巴和撒慕拿交在我手裡的時候，我就必用野地的荊棘鞭打你們的身體。”

你的手要搜出你所有的仇敵，你的右手必搜出那些恨你的人。你出現的時候，就要使他們像熾熱的火爐；耶和華必在他的震怒中吞滅他們，火必燒滅他們。

他們的子孫仍然留在那地，以色列人不能滅絕他們。於是所羅門徵召他們作苦工的奴僕，直到今日。

現在你們要受到咒詛，你們中間必不斷有人作奴僕，為我神的聖所作劈柴打水的人。”
