Penuel was the father of Gedor. Ezer was the father of Hushah. These people belonged to the family line of Hur. He was the oldest son of Ephrathah and the father of Bethlehem.

Doesn’t Scripture say that the Messiah will come from the family line of David? Doesn’t it say that he will come from Bethlehem, the town where David lived?”
