亞蘭王便‧哈達聚集他的全軍，率領三十二個王，帶着車馬上來圍攻撒馬利亞；

神在其宮中，自顯為避難所。看哪，眾王會合，一同經過。他們見了這城就驚奇喪膽，急忙逃跑。他們在那裏被戰兢疼痛抓住，好像產難的婦人一樣。

他們已經事奉基大老瑪十二年，到十三年就背叛了。十四年，基大老瑪和同盟的王都來在亞特律‧加寧，殺敗了利乏音人，在哈麥殺敗了蘇西人，在沙微‧基列亭殺敗了以米人，

他說：我的臣僕豈不都是王嗎？

因為你曾以力量束我的腰，使我能爭戰；你也使那起來攻擊我的都服在我以下。

於是大衛的名傳揚到列國，耶和華使列國都懼怕他。
