大衛遂以此諸器、並自列國所得之金銀、即自以東、自摩押、自亞捫人、自非利士人、自亞瑪力人、所得之金銀、皆別之為聖獻於主、

犹大王约阿施将他祖先犹大王约沙法、约兰、亚哈谢所分别为圣的物和自己所分别为圣的物，以及耶和华殿与王宫府库里所有的金子都送给亚兰王哈薛；哈薛就不上耶路撒冷来了。

大卫和他的人上去，侵夺基述人、基色人、亚玛力人，这些是从帖兰经过书珥直到埃及地的居民。大卫攻击那地，无论男女没有留下一个活口，又夺获牛、羊、驴、骆驼和衣服，回来到亚吉那里。

凡心受感动，灵被驱策的，都带耶和华的礼物来，为要造会幕和其中一切的器具，以及缝制圣衣。凡甘心乐意的，连男带女都来了，各将金器，就是胸针、耳环、打印的戒指，和项链带来，摇着金器的摇祭献给耶和华。凡有蓝色、紫色、朱红色纱、细麻、山羊毛、染红的公羊皮、精美皮料的，都拿了来；凡愿意献银和铜作礼物的，都拿礼物来献给耶和华；凡有金合欢木可做各种用途的也都拿了来。

大卫对他说：“你是谁的人？你从哪里来？”他说：“我是埃及的青年，是亚玛力人的奴仆。因为我三天前生病，我主人就把我撇弃了。

所罗门王做完了耶和华殿一切的工，就把他父亲大卫分别为圣的金银和器皿都带来，放在耶和华殿的库房里。

这示罗密和他的兄弟管理一切库房的圣物，就是大卫王和众族长、千夫长、百夫长，以及军官所分别为圣之物。他们把打仗时夺取的一些财物分别为圣，用来修造耶和华的殿。

到了年初，诸王出征的时候，约押率领军兵蹂躏亚扪人的地，前来围攻拉巴；大卫仍住在耶路撒冷。约押攻打拉巴，把它毁坏。大卫夺了米勒公所戴的冠冕，其上的金子重一他连得，又嵌着宝石。这冠冕就戴在大卫头上。大卫又从城里夺了许多财物，

看哪，我辛苦地为耶和华的殿预备了十万他连得金子，一百万他连得银子，铜和铁多得无法可秤；我也预备了木头、石头，你还可以增添。

利未人中有亚希雅管理神殿的库房和圣物的库房。

他们就是住帐棚的以东和以实玛利人，摩押和夏甲人，迦巴勒、亚扪、亚玛力、非利士和推罗的居民。

只有金子、银子和铜铁的器皿都要归耶和华为圣，放入耶和华的库房中。”

大卫所夺来的牛群羊群，有人赶在群畜前面，说：“这是大卫的掠物。”

锡安哪，起来踹谷吧！我必使你的角成为铁，使你的蹄成为铜。你必打碎许多民族，将他们的财宝献给耶和华，将他们的财富献给全地的主。

大卫王把这些器皿分别为圣，连同他制伏各国所分别为圣的金银，献给耶和华，就是从亚兰、摩押、亚扪人、非利士人、亚玛力人，以及从利合的儿子琐巴王哈大底谢所掠之物。

“我算什么，我的百姓算什么，竟然能够如此乐意奉献？因为万物都从你而来，我们把从你的手得来的献给你。
