猶大王約阿施將他列祖猶大王約沙法、約蘭、亞哈謝、所獻為聖別之物、和他自己所獻為聖別之物、跟永恆主之殿和王宮府庫裏所有的一切金子、都送給亞蘭王哈薛；哈薛就不上耶路撒冷來了。

大衛和跟隨的人上去侵犯基述人、基色人、和亞瑪力人；這幾族人居住的地是從提拉因往書珥、直到埃及地那方向的。大衛擊殺了那地的人，無論男女、全都不讓活着；又拿了羊、牛、驢、駱駝、和衣服，然後回來、到亞吉那裏。

凡心裏起意的、凡心靈自願的、都來，把準備奉給永恆主的提獻物帶來、好做會棚工程的用處、做其中一切的使用，也可以作聖衣。所以他們都來，有男人也有女人；凡心裏自願的、凡搖獻金的搖獻物給永恆主的人、都把飾針、耳環、列印戒指、手釧、各樣金器、帶來。凡家裏有藍紫色紫紅色朱紅色線、麻絲、山羊毛、染紅公羊皮、塔哈示皮的人、都帶了來。凡提獻銀或銅的提獻物的、都帶了來、做奉給永恆主的提獻物；凡家裏有皂莢木、可以供這工程上任何用途的、也都帶了來。

大衛問他說：『你是屬誰的？是出於哪裏的？』他說：『我是埃及的青年人，是亞瑪力人的奴僕；因為我前三天病了，我主人竟把我撇棄了。

這樣、所羅門王所作永恆主之殿的一切工就作完了。所羅門把他父親大衛分別為聖的東西、銀子金子和器皿、都帶了來，交在永恆主之殿的府庫中。

這示羅密和他的弟兄管理分別為聖之物的一切府庫、就是大衛王和眾父系族長、千夫長、百夫長、軍長所分別為聖之物。他們將爭戰時所掠得的財物分別為聖，以備修理永恆主之殿的用處。

到年頭時、當列王出戰的時候、約押率領了軍兵，要去毁壞亞捫人的地；他去圍困拉巴。大衛仍住在耶路撒冷。約押擊破了拉巴，將拉巴翻毁。大衛從米勒公神頭上奪取了米勒公的冠冕；他發現了上頭的金子重有一擔；又有一塊寶石；（這寶石是在大衛頭上的那塊）；大衛把那城被掠之物搬了出來，多極了。

並且在你這裏也有許多作工的人；就是鑿石的人和石匠木匠、以及一切能作

他們的族弟兄利未人、管理上帝之殿的府庫、和聖物的府庫。

就是以東和摩押的帳棚、以實瑪利人和夏甲人、亞捫的地界和亞瑪力、非利士同推羅的居民；

但是一切金銀和銅鐵的器皿、都屬於永恆主為聖，要歸入永恆主的寶庫中。』

大衛也拿到所有的羊和牛，人把這些趕在原有的牲畜前邊，說：『這是大衛的掠物。』

起來踹穀吧，錫安小姐啊！我必使你的角成為鐵的，使你的蹄成為銅的；你必粉碎許多別族之民，將他們搶掠之物獻與永恆主，將他們的資財獻與全地之主。

這些器皿大衛王也分別為聖獻與永恆主，連同他所祝聖過的金銀，他從征服的各國、從以東、從摩押、從亞捫人、非利士人、亞瑪力人，從瑣巴王利合的兒子哈大底謝、所掠得來的、都分別為聖，獻與永恆主。

『我算甚麼，我的人民算甚麼，竟有力量能這樣甘心自願地奉獻呀？萬物都是從你而來的；我們只把從你手裏得來的獻與你罷了。
