大衛遂以此諸器、並自列國所得之金銀、即自以東、自摩押、自亞捫人、自非利士人、自亞瑪力人、所得之金銀、皆別之為聖獻於主、

猶大王約阿施將他列祖猶大王約沙法、約蘭、亞哈謝所分別為聖的物和自己所分別為聖的物，並耶和華殿與王宮府庫裏所有的金子都送給亞蘭王哈薛；哈薛就不上耶路撒冷來了。

大衛和跟隨他的人上去，侵奪基述人、基色人、亞瑪力人之地。這幾族歷來住在那地，從書珥直到埃及。大衛擊殺那地的人，無論男女都沒有留下一個，又奪獲牛、羊、駱駝、驢，並衣服，回來見亞吉。

凡心裏受感和甘心樂意的都拿耶和華的禮物來，用以做會幕和其中一切的使用，又用以做聖衣。凡心裏樂意獻禮物的，連男帶女，各將金器，就是胸前鍼、耳環、打印的戒指，和手釧帶來獻給耶和華。凡有藍色、紫色、朱紅色線，細麻，山羊毛，染紅的公羊皮，海狗皮的，都拿了來；凡獻銀子和銅給耶和華為禮物的都拿了來；凡有皂莢木可做甚麼使用的也拿了來。

大衛問他說：「你是屬誰的？你是哪裏的人？」他回答說：「我是埃及的少年人，是亞瑪力人的奴僕；因我三日前患病，我主人就把我撇棄了。

所羅門王做完了耶和華殿的一切工，就把他父大衛分別為聖的金銀和器皿都帶來放在耶和華殿的府庫裏。

這示羅密和他的弟兄掌管府庫的聖物，就是大衛王和眾族長、千夫長、百夫長，並軍長所分別為聖的物。他們將爭戰時所奪的財物分別為聖，以備修造耶和華的殿。

過了一年，到列王出戰的時候，約押率領軍兵毀壞亞捫人的地，圍攻拉巴；大衛仍住在耶路撒冷。約押攻打拉巴，將城傾覆。大衛奪了亞捫人之王所戴的金冠冕，其上的金子重一他連得，又嵌着寶石；人將這冠冕戴在大衛頭上。大衛從城裏奪了許多財物，

我在困難之中為耶和華的殿預備了金子十萬他連得，銀子一百萬他連得，銅和鐵多得無法可稱；我也預備了木頭、石頭，你還可以增添。

利未子孫中有亞希雅掌管神殿的府庫和聖物的府庫。

就是住帳棚的以東人和以實瑪利人，摩押和夏甲人，迦巴勒、亞捫，和亞瑪力、非利士並泰爾的居民。

惟有金子、銀子，和銅鐵的器皿都要歸耶和華為聖，必入耶和華的庫中。」

大衛所奪來的牛羣羊羣，跟隨他的人趕在原有的羣畜前邊，說：「這是大衛的掠物。」

錫安的民哪，起來踹穀吧！我必使你的角成為鐵，使你的蹄成為銅。你必打碎多國的民，將他們的財獻與耶和華，將他們的貨獻與普天下的主。

大衛王將這些器皿和他治服各國所得來的金銀都分別為聖，獻給耶和華，就是從亞蘭、摩押、亞捫、非利士、亞瑪力人所得來的，以及從瑣巴王利合的兒子哈大底謝所掠之物。

「我算甚麼，我的民算甚麼，竟能如此樂意奉獻？因為萬物都從你而來，我們把從你而得的獻給你。
