大衛和跟隨他的人上去襲擊基述人、基色人和亞瑪力人，這些人自古以來就是這地的居民，居於書珥到埃及地之間。大衛攻打那地，無論男女，都不讓一人存活，又擄走了牛、羊、驢子、駱駝和衣服，然後回來，到亞吉那裡去。

凡是心裡受感、靈裡樂意的，都來了；他們把耶和華的禮物都帶來了，用作會幕的工程和會幕中的一切使用，又用來做聖衣。凡是甘心樂意的，不論男女，都來了，把金針、耳環、戒指、手釧和各樣的金器都送來。他們各人都把金子作禮物呈獻給耶和華。凡是有藍色紫色朱紅色線、細麻、山羊毛、染紅的公羊皮、海狗皮的，都送了來。凡是奉獻銀子和銅為禮物的，都帶了來作耶和華的禮物；凡是有皂莢木可以用作工程上任何使用的，都帶了來。

大衛問他：“你是屬誰的？你從哪裡來？”他回答：“我是個埃及的青年人，是亞瑪力人的奴僕。因為我三天前病了，我的主人就把我丟棄了。

這樣，所羅門為耶和華的殿所作的一切工程都完成了。所羅門把他父親大衛分別為聖的金銀和器皿，都運了來，存放在耶和華殿的庫房裡。

這示羅密和他的兄弟掌管庫房裡的一切聖物，就是大衛王、眾家族首領、千夫長、百夫長和軍長所獻的聖物。他們把在戰場上掠奪的財物獻上，用作修建耶和華的殿。

過了年，在列王出征的時候，約押帶領軍兵，毀壞了亞捫人的地方，然後去圍困拉巴。那時大衛住在耶路撒冷。約押攻打拉巴，把城摧毀。大衛從米勒公神像的頭上取下金冠，發現金子重三十公斤，又有一塊寶石嵌在上面；有人把這冠冕戴在大衛的頭上；大衛從城裡奪走了大批戰利品。

此外，你也有很多匠人：鑿石的人、石匠、木匠和能作各樣工作的巧手工人，

他們其他的利未親族，就管理神殿裡的庫房和聖物的庫房。

他們就是住帳棚的以東人和以實瑪利人，摩押人和夏甲人，迦巴勒、亞捫、亞瑪力、非利士和推羅的居民。

可是，所有的金銀和銅鐵的器皿，都要歸耶和華為聖，存入耶和華的庫房中。”

大衛奪了所有的羊群和牛群，跟從大衛的人把牠們趕到原有的群畜面前，說：“這是大衛的戰利品。”

錫安的女子啊！起來踹穀吧！因為我必使你的角成為鐵，使你的蹄成為銅；你必粉碎許多民族，毀滅他們所得的不義之財，作為祭物獻與耶和華，把他們的財寶獻給全地的主。

大衛王也把這些器皿，連同他從他征服的各國得來的金銀都一起分別為聖，獻給耶和華。就是從以東、摩押、亞捫人、非利士人、亞瑪力人所得來的，以及從瑣巴王利合的兒子哈大底謝獲得的戰利品。

我算甚麼？我的人民又算甚麼？竟有力量這樣樂意奉獻？因為萬物都是從你而來，我們只是把從你手裡得來的，奉獻給你。
