现在你要告诉我仆人大卫，说万军之耶和华如此说：‘我从羊圈中将你召来，叫你不再跟从羊群，立你作我民以色列的君。

现在，你要对我仆人大卫这样说：‘万军之耶和华如此说：我从羊圈中将你召来，叫你不再牧放羊群，立你作我百姓以色列的君王。

“现在你要告诉我的仆人大卫，‘万军之耶和华说，你原本在草场牧羊，我召你来做我以色列子民的首领。

现在你要对我的仆人大卫说：‘万军之耶和华这样说：我把你从羊圈中选召出来，使你不再跟随羊群，使你作领袖管治我的子民以色列。

現在你要告訴我僕人大衛，說萬軍之耶和華如此說：『我從羊圈中將你召來，叫你不再跟從羊羣，立你作我民以色列的君。

現在你要對我僕人大衛這樣說：「萬軍之永恆主這麼說：我將你從羊圈中、從趕羊羣的事上選取了來，讓你做人君來管理我人民以色列。

故當謂我僕大衛曰、萬軍之耶和華云、我自羊牢中、羊羣後、取爾為我民以色列之君、

今當告我僕大闢、萬有之主耶和華云、昔爾在羊牢為牧、我特遴選爾、使為我民、以色列族長、

今爾告我僕大衛曰、萬有之主如是云、昔我自羊牢中、自羊群後、召爾立為我民以色列之君、

“ Now then, tell my servant David,‘ This is what the Lord Almighty says: I took you from the pasture, from tending the flock, and appointed you ruler over my people Israel.

“ So tell my servant David,‘ The Lord who rules over all says,“ I took you away from the grasslands. That is where you were taking care of your father’s sheep and goats. I appointed you ruler over my people Israel.

Now, therefore, thus shall you say to my servant David,‘ Thus says the Lord of hosts, I took you from the pasture, from following the sheep, to be prince over my people Israel,

“ Now go and say to my servant David,‘ This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies has declared: I took you from tending sheep in the pasture and selected you to be the leader of my people Israel.

“ So now this is what you are to say to my servant David:‘ This is what the LORD of Armies says: I took you from the pasture, from tending the flock, to be ruler over my people Israel.

Now, therefore, this is what you shall say to My servant David:‘ This is what the Lord of armies says:“ I took you from the pasture, from following the sheep, to be leader over My people Israel.

Now therefore, thus shall you say to My servant David,‘ Thus says the Lord of hosts:“ I took you from the sheepfold, from following the sheep, to be ruler over My people Israel.

Now therefore thus shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, that thou shouldest be prince over my people Israel:

“ Now this is what you will say to My servant David:‘ This is what the Lord of Hosts says: I took you from the pasture and from following the sheep to be ruler over My people Israel.

Now therefore thus shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote,[ even] from following the sheep, that thou shouldest be ruler over my people Israel:

“ So now, say this to my servant David:‘ This is what the LORD who commands armies says:“ I took you from the pasture and from your work as a shepherd to make you a leader of my people Israel.

“ Now therefore, you shall tell my servant David,‘ Yahweh of Armies says,“ I took you from the sheep pen, from following the sheep, to be prince over my people Israel.

大卫对米甲说：“这是在耶和华面前；耶和华已拣选我，废了你父和你父的全家，立我作耶和华民以色列的君，所以我必在耶和华面前跳舞。

‘犹大地的伯利恒啊，你在犹大诸城中并不是最小的；因为将来有一位君王要从你那里出来，牧养我以色列民。’”

大卫有时离开扫罗，回伯利恒放他父亲的羊。

又拣选他的仆人大卫，从羊圈中将他召来，叫他不再跟从那些带奶的母羊，为要牧养自己的百姓雅各和自己的产业以色列。

他的伙伴西庇太的儿子雅各、约翰，也是这样。耶稣对西门说：“不要怕！从今以后，你要得人了。”

耶稣在加利利海边行走，看见弟兄二人，就是那称呼彼得的西门和他兄弟安得烈，在海里撒网；他们本是打鱼的。耶稣对他们说：“来跟从我，我要叫你们得人如得鱼一样。”他们就立刻舍了网，跟从了他。从那里往前走，又看见弟兄二人，就是西庇太的儿子雅各和他兄弟约翰，同他们的父亲西庇太在船上补网，耶稣就招呼他们，他们立刻舍了船，别了父亲，跟从了耶稣。

撒母耳对耶西说：“你的儿子都在这里吗？”他回答说：“还有个小的，现在放羊。”撒母耳对耶西说：“你打发人去叫他来；他若不来，我们必不坐席。”耶西就打发人去叫了他来。他面色光红，双目清秀，容貌俊美。耶和华说：“这就是他，你起来膏他。”

“现在，你要告诉我仆人大卫，说万军之耶和华如此说：‘我从羊圈中将你召来，叫你不再跟从羊群，立你作我民以色列的君。

阿摩司对亚玛谢说：“我原不是先知，也不是先知的门徒。我是牧人，又是修理桑树的。耶和华选召我，使我不跟从羊群，对我说：‘你去向我民以色列说预言。’

摩西牧养他岳父米甸祭司叶忒罗的羊群；一日领羊群往野外去，到了神的山，就是何烈山。耶和华的使者从荆棘里火焰中向摩西显现。摩西观看，不料，荆棘被火烧着，却没有烧毁。摩西说：“我要过去看这大异象，这荆棘为何没有烧坏呢？”耶和华神见他过去要看，就从荆棘里呼叫说：“摩西！摩西！”他说：“我在这里。”神说：“不要近前来。当把你脚上的鞋脱下来，因为你所站之地是圣地”；又说：“我是你父亲的神，是亚伯拉罕的神，以撒的神，雅各的神。”摩西蒙上脸，因为怕看神。耶和华说：“我的百姓在埃及所受的困苦，我实在看见了；他们因受督工的辖制所发的哀声，我也听见了。我原知道他们的痛苦，我下来是要救他们脱离埃及人的手，领他们出了那地，到美好、宽阔、流奶与蜜之地，就是到迦南人、赫人、亚摩利人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人之地。现在以色列人的哀声达到我耳中，我也看见埃及人怎样欺压他们。故此，我要打发你去见法老，使你可以将我的百姓以色列人从埃及领出来。”
