Wherever I moved throughout Israel, I did not say to any of the leaders whom I appointed to care for my people Israel,‘ Why have you not built me a house made from cedar?’”’

凡我同以色列人所走的地方，我何曾向以色列的一个士师，就是我吩咐牧养我民的说：你为何不给我建造香柏木的殿宇呢？’

在我与以色列人同行的日子，我从未责问任何我委派牧养我子民的士师，‘你为何不为我建造香柏木的殿宇呢？’

凡我與以色列人偕行之地、豈曾語牧我民以色列之士師曰、曷不為我建香柏之室乎、

我與以色列族偕行、不論何所、特簡數人、使牧我民、曷嘗命建柏香木殿、為我居所乎。

凡我偕以色列人行時、以色列之士師、即我所命牧我民者、我何曾謂其一曰、爾何不為我造柏香木之殿乎、

Wherever I have moved with all the Israelites, did I ever say to any of their leaders whom I commanded to shepherd my people,“ Why have you not built me a house of cedar?”’

I have moved from place to place with all the Israelites. I commanded their leaders to be shepherds over my people. I never asked any of those leaders,‘ Why haven’t you built me a house that has beautiful cedar walls?’ ” ’

In all places where I have moved with all Israel, did I speak a word with any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd my people, saying,“ Why have you not built me a house of cedar?”’

Yet no matter where I have gone with the Israelites, I have never once complained to Israel’s leaders, the shepherds of my people. I have never asked them,“ Why haven’t you built me a beautiful cedar house?”’

In all my journeys throughout Israel, have I ever spoken a word to even one of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd my people, asking: Why haven’t you built me a house of cedar?’

In all places where I have walked with all Israel, have I spoken a word with any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd My people, saying,‘ Why have you not built Me a house of cedar?’ ” ’

Wherever I have moved about with all Israel, have I ever spoken a word to any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd My people, saying,‘ Why have you not built Me a house of cedar?’”’

In all places wherein I have walked with all Israel, spake I a word with any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to be shepherd of my people, saying, Why have ye not built me a house of cedar?

In all My travels throughout Israel, have I ever spoken a word to even one of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd My people, asking: Why haven’t you built Me a house of cedar?’

Wheresoever I have walked with all Israel, spake I a word to any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people, saying, Why have ye not built me an house of cedars?

In all places in which I have walked with all Israel, did I speak a word with any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to be shepherd of my people, saying,‘ Why have you not built me a house of cedar?’”’

Wherever I moved among all the Israelites, I did not say to any of the leaders whom I appointed to care for my people Israel,“ Why have you not built me a house made from cedar?”’

He will assume his post and shepherd the people by the LORD’s strength, by the sovereign authority of the LORD his God. They will live securely, for at that time he will be honored even in the distant regions of the earth.

And what mutual agreement does the temple of God have with idols? For we are the temple of the living God, just as God said,“ I will live in them and will walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.”

So they traveled from the mountain of the LORD three days’ journey; and the ark of the covenant of the LORD was traveling before them during the three days’ journey, to find a resting place for them.And the cloud of the LORD was over them by day, when they traveled from the camp.And when the ark traveled, Moses would say,“ Rise up, O LORD! May your enemies be scattered, and may those who hate you flee before you!”And when it came to rest he would say,“ Return, O LORD, to the many thousands of Israel!”

“‘ I will put my tabernacle in your midst and I will not abhor you.I will walk among you, and I will be your God and you will be my people.

“ Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel; prophesy, and say to them– to the shepherds:‘ This is what the sovereign LORD says: Woe to the shepherds of Israel who have been feeding themselves! Should not shepherds feed the flock?

So the LORD sent Jerub-Baal, Barak, Jephthah, and Samuel, and he delivered you from the hand of the enemies all around you, and you were able to live securely.

‘ And you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah,are in no way least among the rulers of Judah,for out of you will come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel.’”

The LORD raised up leaders who delivered them from these robbers.But they did not obey their leaders. Instead they prostituted themselves to other gods and worshiped them. They quickly turned aside from the path their ancestors had walked. Their ancestors had obeyed the LORD’s commands, but they did not.When the LORD raised up leaders for them, the LORD was with each leader and delivered the people from their enemies while the leader remained alive. The LORD felt sorry for them when they cried out in agony because of what their harsh oppressors did to them.

In the past, even when Saul was king, you were Israel’s commanding general. The LORD your God said to you,‘ You will shepherd my people Israel; you will rule over my people Israel.’”

“ To the angel of the church in Ephesus, write the following:“ This is the solemn pronouncement of the one who has a firm grasp on the seven stars in his right hand– the one who walks among the seven golden lampstands:

He took him away from following the mother sheep, and made him the shepherd of Jacob, his people, and of Israel, his chosen nation.David cared for them with pure motives; he led them with skill.

For the LORD your God walks about in the middle of your camp to deliver you and defeat your enemies for you. Therefore your camp should be holy, so that he does not see anything indecent among you and turn away from you.

I will install rulers over them who will care for them. Then they will no longer need to fear or be terrified. None of them will turn up missing. I, the LORD, promise it!

All this took about four hundred fifty years. After this he gave them judges until the time of Samuel the prophet.

And the LORD said,“ My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”And Moses said to him,“ If your presence does not go with us, do not take us up from here.

Moses was not able to enter the tent of meeting because the cloud settled on it and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.But when the cloud was lifted up from the tabernacle, the Israelites would set out on all their journeys;but if the cloud was not lifted up, then they would not journey further until the day it was lifted up.For the cloud of the LORD was on the tabernacle by day, but fire would be on it at night, in plain view of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.
