凡我與以色列人偕行之地、豈曾語牧我民以色列之士師曰、曷不為我建香柏之室乎、

我與以色列族偕行、不論何所、特簡數人、使牧我民、曷嘗命建柏香木殿、為我居所乎。

凡我偕以色列人行時、以色列之士師、即我所命牧我民者、我何曾謂其一曰、爾何不為我造柏香木之殿乎、

Wherever I have moved with all the Israelites, did I ever say to any of their leaders whom I commanded to shepherd my people,“ Why have you not built me a house of cedar?”’

I have moved from place to place with all the Israelites. I commanded their leaders to be shepherds over my people. I never asked any of those leaders,‘ Why haven’t you built me a house that has beautiful cedar walls?’ ” ’

In all places where I have moved with all Israel, did I speak a word with any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd my people, saying,“ Why have you not built me a house of cedar?”’

Yet no matter where I have gone with the Israelites, I have never once complained to Israel’s leaders, the shepherds of my people. I have never asked them,“ Why haven’t you built me a beautiful cedar house?”’

In all my journeys throughout Israel, have I ever spoken a word to even one of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd my people, asking: Why haven’t you built me a house of cedar?’

In all places where I have walked with all Israel, have I spoken a word with any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd My people, saying,‘ Why have you not built Me a house of cedar?’ ” ’

Wherever I have moved about with all Israel, have I ever spoken a word to any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd My people, saying,‘ Why have you not built Me a house of cedar?’”’

In all places wherein I have walked with all Israel, spake I a word with any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to be shepherd of my people, saying, Why have ye not built me a house of cedar?

Wheresoever I have walked with all Israel, spake I a word to any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people, saying, Why have ye not built me an house of cedars?

Wherever I moved throughout Israel, I did not say to any of the leaders whom I appointed to care for my people Israel,‘ Why have you not built me a house made from cedar?’”’

In all places in which I have walked with all Israel, did I speak a word with any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to be shepherd of my people, saying,‘ Why have you not built me a house of cedar?’”’

Wherever I have moved with all the Israelites, did I ever say to any of their rulers whom I commanded to shepherd my people Israel,“ Why have you not built me a house of cedar?”’ (niv)

He will stand and shepherd his flock in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God. And they will live securely, for then his greatness will reach to the ends of the earth. (niv)

What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said:“ I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.” (niv)

So they set out from the mountain of the Lord and traveled for three days. The ark of the covenant of the Lord went before them during those three days to find them a place to rest.The cloud of the Lord was over them by day when they set out from the camp.Whenever the ark set out, Moses said,“ Rise up, Lord! May your enemies be scattered; may your foes flee before you.”Whenever it came to rest, he said,“ Return, Lord, to the countless thousands of Israel.” (niv)

I will put my dwelling place among you, and I will not abhor you.I will walk among you and be your God, and you will be my people. (niv)

“ Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel; prophesy and say to them:‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Woe to you shepherds of Israel who only take care of yourselves! Should not shepherds take care of the flock? (niv)

Then the Lord sent Jerub- Baal, Barak, Jephthah and Samuel, and he delivered you from the hands of your enemies all around you, so that you lived in safety. (niv)

“‘ But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel.’” (niv)

Then the Lord raised up judges, who saved them out of the hands of these raiders.Yet they would not listen to their judges but prostituted themselves to other gods and worshiped them. They quickly turned from the ways of their ancestors, who had been obedient to the Lord’s commands.Whenever the Lord raised up a judge for them, he was with the judge and saved them out of the hands of their enemies as long as the judge lived; for the Lord relented because of their groaning under those who oppressed and afflicted them. In the past, even while Saul was king, you were the one who led Israel on their military campaigns. And the Lord your God said to you,‘ You will shepherd my people Israel, and you will become their ruler.’” (niv)

For the Lord your God moves about in your camp to protect you and to deliver your enemies to you. Your camp must be holy, so that he will not see among you anything indecent and turn away from you. (niv)

I will place shepherds over them who will tend them, and they will no longer be afraid or terrified, nor will any be missing,” declares the Lord. (niv)

All this took about 450 years.“ After this, God gave them judges until the time of Samuel the prophet. (niv)

The Lord replied,“ My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”Then Moses said to him,“ If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. (niv)

Moses could not enter the tent of meeting because the cloud had settled on it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.In all the travels of the Israelites, whenever the cloud lifted from above the tabernacle, they would set out;but if the cloud did not lift, they did not set out— until the day it lifted.So the cloud of the Lord was over the tabernacle by day, and fire was in the cloud by night, in the sight of all the Israelites during all their travels. (niv)
