“ Go and tell my servant David,‘ This is what the Lord says: You are not the one to build me a house to dwell in.

“ Go and speak to my servant David. Tell him,‘ The Lord says,“ You are not the one who will build me a house to live in.

大闢王立、而告民曰、爾為我民、亦我兄弟、宜聽我言、我素志欲建殿宇、置我上帝耶和華法匱、及駐蹕之所、我曾備材、以待經營。上帝諭我曰、爾戰鬥殺人、不當建殿、為籲我名之地。

奧哉、上帝何智慧之大乎、其法不可測、其蹤不可追、孰知主心、得與共議、

耶和華曰、我所思所為、與爾比擬、相去奚啻霄壤、我所思所為、高出於爾遠矣。

是夕耶和華命拿單曰、往告我僕大闢、耶和華有言曰、欲建殿宇、為我居處、豈在爾乎。

耶和華諭之曰、爾欲建殿、為籲我名之所、此舉甚善。然爾不得建殿、惟爾一脈之裔必建殿、以籲我名。
