我要做他的父親，他要做我的兒子。我的慈愛曾離開在你之前的掃羅王，但我的慈愛必不離開他。

我必為彼之父、彼必為我之子、我不使我之仁慈仁慈或作恩寵下同離彼、如我昔使我之仁慈離在爾以前者、

I will be his father, and he will be my son. I will never take my love away from him, as I took it away from your predecessor.

I will be his father. And he will be my son. I took my love away from the man who ruled before you. But I will never take my love away from your son.

I will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son. I will not take my steadfast love from him, as I took it from him who was before you,

上帝從未對任何一個天使說：「你是我的兒子，我今日成為你父親。」或說：「我要作你的父親，你要作我的兒子。」

他要為我建造殿宇，我必使他王位永固。

你們要到我這裡來，側耳聽我的話，就必得到生命。我要跟你們立永久的約，將應許給大衛的可靠恩福賜給你們。

撒母耳對他說：「耶和華今天已經從你身上拿走了以色列國的王位，賜給了一個比你好的人。

那位君王說：「我要宣告耶和華的旨意，祂對我說，『你是我的兒子，我今日成為你父親。

要降服在祂兒子面前，免得祂發怒，你們便在罪惡中滅亡，因為祂的怒氣將臨。投靠祂的人有福了！

而不求問耶和華。因此，耶和華使他被殺，把王位交給了耶西的兒子大衛。

我要作你們的父親，你們要作我的兒女。這是全能的主說的。」

然而，因你父大衛的緣故，我不會在你有生之年這樣做，我要從你兒子手中把國奪走。但我不會全部奪走，為了我僕人大衛和我揀選的耶路撒冷，我會留下一個支派給你兒子。」

他要向我高呼，『你是我的父親，我的上帝，拯救我的磐石。』我要立他為我的長子，使他做天下至尊的君王。我要永遠用慈愛待他，我與他立的約永不更改。我要使他的後裔永無窮盡，讓他的王位與天同存。如果他的後代背棄我的律法，不遵行我的典章，觸犯我的律例，不守我的誡命，我就會因他們的罪用杖懲罰他們，用鞭子責打他們。但我不會收回我的慈愛，也不會背棄我的信實。我必不毀約，也不食言。因我曾憑自己的聖潔向大衛起誓，我絕無謊言。他的後裔必永無窮盡，他的王位必在我面前如日長存，又如天上亙古不變的月亮，永遠堅立。」（細拉）

我要做他的父親，他要做我的兒子。如果他犯了罪，我必用人的杖、世人的鞭子來懲治他，但我的慈愛卻不會像離開從你面前被廢的掃羅那樣離開他。你的家和你的國必在我面前永遠堅立，你的王位必永遠穩固。』」

只給他兒子留下一個支派，好使我僕人大衛有後裔留在我選為居所的耶路撒冷城。

父愛子，已把萬物交在祂手裡。

雲彩中有聲音說：「這是我的兒子，是我揀選的，你們要聽從祂！」

祂偉大無比，將被稱為至高者的兒子，主上帝要把祂祖先大衛的王位賜給祂。
