There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace On the throne of David and over his kingdom, To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness From then on and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of armies will accomplish this.

And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which will never be destroyed, and that kingdom will not be left for another people; it will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, but it will itself endure forever.

So I will establish his descendants forever, And his throne as the days of heaven.

For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet.

Behold, a son will be born to you, who shall be a man of rest, and I will give him rest from all his enemies on every side; for his name will be Solomon, and I will give peace and quiet to Israel in his days.He shall build a house for My name, and he shall be My son and I will be his Father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever.’

He said to me,‘ Your son Solomon is the one who shall build My house and My courtyards; for I have chosen him to be a son to Me, and I will be a Father to him.I will establish his kingdom forever if he resolutely performs My commandments and My ordinances, as is done now.’So now, in the sight of all Israel, the assembly of the Lord, and in the presence of our God, keep and seek after all the commandments of the Lord your God so that you may possess the good land and leave it as an inheritance to your sons after you forever.“ As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him wholeheartedly and with a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.Consider now, for the Lord has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary; be courageous and act.”

Then say to him,‘ The Lord of armies says this:“ Behold, there is a Man whose name is Branch, for He will branch out from where He is; and He will build the temple of the Lord.Yes, it is He who will build the temple of the Lord, and He who will bear the majesty and sit and rule on His throne. So He will be a priest on His throne, and the counsel of peace will be between the two offices.” ’

Jesus answered them,“ Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”The Jews then said,“ It took forty six years to build this temple, and yet You will raise it up in three days?”But He was speaking about the temple of His body.

Then Solomon began to build the house of the Lord in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, where the Lord had appeared to his father David, at the place that David had prepared on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.He began to build on the second day in the second month of the fourth year of his reign.Now these are the foundations which Solomon laid for building the house of God. The length in cubits, according to the old standard, was sixty cubits, and the width, twenty cubits.The porch which was in front of the house was as long as the width of the house, twenty cubits, and the height twenty; and inside he overlaid it with pure gold.

So they answered us as follows, saying,‘ We are the servants of the God of heaven and earth, and are rebuilding the temple that was built many years ago, which a great king of Israel built and finished.

But it was Solomon who built a house for Him.However, the Most High does not dwell in houses made by human hands; as the prophet says:

For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form,

Then the seventh angel sounded; and there were loud voices in heaven, saying,“ The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ; and He will reign forever and ever.”

His descendants shall endure forever, And his throne as the sun before Me.It shall be established forever like the moon, And a witness in the sky is faithful.” Selah
