He warned kings on their behalf:“ Do not touch my chosen people, and do not hurt my prophets.”

In that wonderful day you will sing:“ Thank the Lord! Praise his name! Tell the nations what he has done. Let them know how mighty he is!

Now, O Lord our God, rescue us from his power; then all the kingdoms of the earth will know that you alone, O Lord, are God.”

I am writing to God’s church in Corinth, to you who have been called by God to be his own holy people. He made you holy by means of Christ Jesus, just as he did for all people everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours.

I will meditate on your majestic, glorious splendor and your wonderful miracles.Your awe inspiring deeds will be on every tongue; I will proclaim your greatness.

then hear from heaven where you live, and grant what they ask of you. In this way, all the people of the earth will come to know and fear you, just as your own people Israel do. They, too, will know that this Temple I have built honors your name.

stories we have heard and known, stories our ancestors handed down to us.We will not hide these truths from our children; we will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the Lord, about his power and his mighty wonders.For he issued his laws to Jacob; he gave his instructions to Israel.
