As the ark of the covenant of the Lord was entering the City of David, Michal daughter of Saul watched from a window. And when she saw King David dancing and celebrating, she despised him in her heart.

The ark of the covenant of the Lord was brought into the City of David. Saul’s daughter Michal was watching from a window. She saw King David dancing and celebrating. That made her hate him in her heart.

And as the ark of the covenant of the Lord came to the city of David, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out of the window and saw King David dancing and celebrating, and she despised him in her heart.

But as the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant entered the City of David, Michal, the daughter of Saul, looked down from her window. When she saw King David skipping about and laughing with joy, she was filled with contempt for him.

As the ark of the covenant of the LORD was entering the city of David, Saul’s daughter Michal looked down from the window and saw King David leaping and dancing, and she despised him in her heart.

As the ark of the LORD’s covenant entered the City of David, Michal, Saul’s daughter, looked out the window. When she saw King David jumping and celebrating, she despised him.

As the ark of Yahweh’s covenant came to David’s city, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out at the window, and saw king David dancing and playing; and she despised him in her heart.

大闢歸、為眷聚祝嘏、掃羅女米甲出迓、曰、今日以色列王、弛解其衣、若遊蕩之徒、既臣僕之婢、亦所目睹、安得為榮乎。大闢曰、我之為此、第欲尊崇耶和華耳。昔耶和華遺棄爾父、及其全家、簡我為民長、治理以色列族、故在耶和華前、我必踴躍。如因是事而藐視我、則我自待、必更卑微、然後爾所言之婢、將尊敬我。由是掃羅女米甲、不復誕育、至於畢生。

耶和華之匱入大闢邑時、掃羅女米甲、自牖而窺、見大闢王、踴躍舞蹈於耶和華前、中心藐視之。

耶和華曰、當斯之時、爾既繁衍於茲土、則我之約匱、可置之弗道、勿復貴重、毋庸憶念、不詣其所、不製其式、如昔所為。

有炷香金鼎、嵌金約匱、內藏嗎嗱、盛以金壺、與亞倫萌芽杖、約碑二、

大闢曰、善、我與爾約、惟索一詞、爾歸我時、必攜掃羅女米甲至、否則毋許覿面。大闢遣使、謂掃羅子益破設曰、昔我斷非利士人之皮一百、聘掃羅女米甲為妻、今當反我。

掃羅遣人守於大闢家、待旦欲殺之、大闢妻米甲告之曰、今夕不自救、明日必見殺。米甲自牖縋大闢、使奔而出。米甲置像於床、編羊毛飾於首、而覆以布。掃羅使者至、欲執大闢。婦曰、彼有疾。掃羅又遣人觀大闢、曰、以床舁之而至、我欲殺之、使者入、見像於床、飾其首者、編羊毛為之。掃羅謂米甲曰、何為欺我、以縱我敵。米甲曰、彼使我釋之、不然則殺我。

掃羅之女米甲、曾為大闢所娶、其後掃羅使之改適伽林人拉億子八氐。

當時上帝之約匱在彼、亞倫孫、以利亞撒子非尼哈立於其前、以色列族問於耶和華曰、我儕復攻同儕便雅憫族、或往乎、或止乎。耶和華曰、往哉、明日我將以之付於爾手。

於是離耶和華之山、歷程三日、耶和華之法匱先行、將擇安處之所。

先知婦亞倫姊米哩暗、手執鼗、諸女亦執鼗相從、舞蹈而出。

揄揚懽忭之聲、由是而起、我使之繁衍、不復減損、顯其尊榮、不復衰微。

必曰、昔耶和華法匱、濟約但時、於其前河水絕流、此石為誌、使以色列族永憶勿忘。

然未化之人、不受上帝聖神之道、而視為不智、且亦不能識、必聖神助之、乃能忖度焉、

即與從者往、殺非利士人二百、攜所斷之皮、俱進於王、欲為王壻。掃羅以其女米甲妻之。掃羅知大闢為耶和華所祐、亦為次女米甲所愛、

播鼗舞蹈、操絃縵、品簫管、而頌揚之兮。

以此律法之書、置於爾上帝耶和華法匱之旁、以為證。

有時可哭、有時可笑、有時可哀、有時可躍、

予為爾受凌辱、抱愧怍兮、即我同氣、即我手足、亦視余若疏遠兮、予為爾室、中心如焚、人詬爾、余受之兮、

民歸營時、以色列長老議曰、耶和華今日使我敗於非利士人前、曷故。盍攜耶和華約匱、自示羅至此、可援我於敵手。

當播鼗操瑟、以舞以蹈、以咏以吟、頌讚其名兮。

我若狂、緣上帝而然、我自若、緣爾曹而然、

有戲之曰、此人酣酒耳、○

蒙爾之祐、變哀哭而踴躍、易齊衰而吉服兮、

大闢坐於宮時、謂先知拿單曰、我居之宮以柏香木創造、而耶和華法匱、反在幔中。
